i think he should of mentioned that although you might be able to play games perfectly now at 1920x1080 with a 6950 or 570 in a year you most likely wont so getting a 580 or 6970 or 7970 isn't a bad idea even if your getting frame rates way above 60 it doesn't matter because it gives you more head room for mods, newer games, or just increasing the smoothness and responsiveness of your current games
i got a 27" monitor (full hd res) i´m playing bf3.....and i got a low budget.....what the fuck should i do? xD a gtx 580 is still damn expensive....and my ati 5850 is running bf3 from low to near middle settings...
@newHOLZJUNGE an nvidia gtx 550 ti with 1Gb or 2Gb ddr memory (eithor should work) would probally settle as a nice upgrade, unless you need something for less then $165 (that's the newegg price on the 550 with 2 gigs memory)
I've got a 23" Acer monitor (1080p) and a 5770 at the moment. Once more of the 7000 series is released which one should I get? My budget is under $300.
I have 19inch monitor with resolution 1366 by 768,I play game like Battlefield:Bad company 2,BF3,Assassin creed revolution,Crysis 2,GTA IV Dirt 3 my budget is 200$ so which card I canh buy
@mrgiroi get a Benq 22" monitor, only £100 (££££ - idk dollars) and get gtx 560/560ti or a amd radeon 6870 is in the middle of them. i have a radeon 6870 and im playing battlefield ultra, x16 and x4 AA 1920x1080p with average of 45fps, theres no difference between 45 and 70fps, trust me its not a £200 difference imo
i want to buy a high performance GPU ... im thinking about Gtx 570-580...6950-6970 or new ati generation 7950 7970... but ive a question... ive one monitor "19" inches... so one guy told me that i just needed 1gb of ram... is this correct? cause i can pick one Gigabyte 6950 for 230$ with 1 gb and one xfx with 2 gb and the same warranty for 290$... can someone help me? plx?

@Mitche23 i don't see how its a bottleneck, considering my case is poorly ventilated. AMD FX 4100 @ 4Ghz. It's not bottlenecking, i have people who are alot more professional than people on Youtube. No offence.
@GamerFreakzCOM I didn't know you had AMD FX4100(witch kinda sucks) and if you have people more professional than people on YouTube what are you looking here. No offense.
@GamerFreakzCOM You're gonna have to become an intel fanboy soon lol, AMD seems to be dropping out of desktop processing and focusing more on laptops and video cards. The fact of the matter is that Intel has been its own competition ever since Athlon XP era was done. AMD hasn't provided any desktop processors that beats Intel's, unlike AMD and Nvidia, in which AMD beats Nvidia with their 7000 series, which prompts Nvidia to do better, etc.
@xFATBATx Check your case size and the size of the GPU you are buying. They generally have the specs already in the features section so just grab a tape measure, and check if your case can accomodate the card.

@xFATBATx Fine then, want an answer? Here: Look up the GPU length, width and height then open up your PC and measure the inside where the graphics card will be. You'd have to have no brain to not figure that out.

@JWL1092 how's the 550ti?I actually started out with a $900 budget but I decided to hold off (Good choice too!). My card on the $900 build was the 550ti, but now times have changed,

@KentuckyKid220 i really cant complain about it, i get around 50 - 60 fps in skyrim on high settings. its a solid card for the price but it definetly is worth going up to the more high end cards
hey guyzzz, iam having a lot of trouble here. can somone please halp me out ,the thing i s tht i have $600 n i want ot buy a gaming pc but i dont know anything about what to buy,i want ot play games like bf3 with ease, any suggestions?..
I wanto to play FPS Games like COD, BF, MEDAL OF HONOR, CRYSIS... that tipe of games and my screen only andles 1280x1024 of max resolution. What card should i buy ?
If you have a 1920x1200 28 inch monitor do you need an extreme or high level card? (For playing games like BF3, BATMAN ARKAHAM City and other demanding games)
If you have a 1920x1080 monitor do you need an extreme or high level card? (For playing games like BF3, BATMAN ARKAHAM City and other demanding games)
If your thinking about getting something lower then a HD6950 right now wait soon the new series will be out & theres going to be a glut of these up for sale cheap from people who are buying the newer series. Chances are they will be Bios flashed to HD6970 & ready to go already.
@H0LM1337 i have gtx 560ti that can do 3d and i play bf on high with avg of 50fps its good for its money though i suggest getting an ati card i like them more only got nvidia cause all local tech store sold. so i would probably suggest getting ati 6950 around same price and very nice card =)
well gtx 560ti's go for about $250 so I don't know if you want to spend that much I would advise to save up the extra for it and if you can't then you should stick with the 460 or the 560 (non ti)
@l3utterScotchxx 6850 aint actually that good but yeah it is mid range won't play bf3 anything more than medium 1920-1200 res though or whatever highest res is
I think i should go for the geforce GTX 460 since i mostly play shooters and racing games on 1920x1080 resolution. I'm currently using a GT 240 which is poor for high resolutions
@ladeninlogen I made a big mistake by going with the 6670. The 6770 is almost twice as good as the 6670, and it is only about $10-20 cheaper than the 6670. So I would highly recommend the 6770.
My monitor is dell st2320l 23" 1080p full hd monitor
I want to play graphical intensive games like crysis
now tell me the best bang for the buck gpu for 1920x1080 resolution i want to play at maximum setting possible with no anti aliasing or maybe 2x anti aliasing no more then that
@entertainment033 If you can wait until January 9th, I would go for the radeon hd 7970. It is priced lower than the gtx 580, and performs better. It is also using 28 nanometer technology. It is a PCIe 3.0 card, but you can use it on PCIe 2.0 with little to no difference.
@Umbra360 :( that will max game with anti aliasing i dont want to spend extra money just for anti aliasing :( you are making 1080p games too expensive it is not like that :(
@entertainment033 The 6870 would also max out most games. The only game I can see it have trouble maxing out is metro 2033 on ultra settings with dx11 enabled.
@entertainment033 I have a 19" monitor and I play BF3 on Ultra @ a solid 55 fps. I have an XFX 6870 1gb non reference card. Im thinking about moving up to a 23" monitor, so I might only be playing on high.
I got a Asus hd 6950. I got a question, whem im playing metro 2033 on drirectx 11, max resolution/setings 1080p. I got up to 30 and 40 fps, sometimes litle less, but the problem is sometiems the fps still around 30s, but the images are geting cuted, slowing down and stuff. any ideas?
Guys I got a 3k budget for a gaming pc I plan to build. I will be playing graphic intensive games like bf3, skyrim, crysis2 and stuff like that and on a monitor that is 1920x1080. So let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks :)
@XxAssasin21xX Lol 3k budget. You can max out any of those games with a 1000$ budget. If I were you I would wait until ivy bridge is released (sometime in April) And get the highest end i7. I would also go with a ivy bridge compadible motherboard (most socket 1155 motherboards will be compadible with a BIOS update) and this motherboard should support PCIe 3.0 and crossfire. I would also go for hd 7990 (whenever it is released) in crossfire. And maybe 32gb of ddr3 RAM @1600MHZ.
@ivancool1997 what do you mean by lag? if its your fps, then yes, if its you lagging with have a high ping no. also the processor does bottleneck any thing you do on your pc so if you want to game you should have 4 or more cores or a 2core with a high clock speed.
@ivancool1997 Both are important, but of course a video card is more involved, you should have at least a decent processor in order to buy a good video card
Is a GTX 550 ti a good choice for me? My other specs are 8 gb of ram and i7-2600k processor. I play games like Skyrim and Bad Company 2 but also less demanding games like Team Fortress 2...I don't need the highest fps as well as the games run well at pretty high settings.
@asull822 yes its a good card. A 550ti is really good for its price but has some problems with high res, any thing from 720p-1080p should be fine to play any thing on high... hell i play BC2 on high with 9800gtx on a 720p tv lol im finally updating my pc and im geting the 550ti to :] and one last thing its only does 2 way sli just a heads up
@ motherboardsorg my specs are amd phenom x4 955 ati 5670 1gb ddr5 4gb ddr3 ram screen resolution - 1024 x 768 my budget 290$ please suggest me graphic card game i need to max out is battilfield 3 ,la noire in my list i have : gigabyte 6590 1gb , HIS 6590 2gb , asus direct cu II 560ti 1gb pls suggest me !
@basbas63 Well I got the AMD Radeon HD 6570 for christmas and it definitley runs just cause 2 on high settings idk what you saying lol but its like the best card ever I can play any of the really good games like mw3 bf3 and saints row the third
@MsNarutofan111 that's true.. but to be honest.. someone can say 30fps is playable.. the other say's 40 is playable... and someone else say's nah 60fps is playable.. it is just how you look at it.. i even know people who are fine with 20fps
Ok I am about to buy 3 screens and 1 gtx 590... Can I use the cards full potential on 3 screens? 22"or bigger. i7 processor. I can give someone specs if they can help me out because I only got basic knowledge.
i think he should of mentioned that although you might be able to play games perfectly now at 1920x1080 with a 6950 or 570 in a year you most likely wont so getting a 580 or 6970 or 7970 isn't a bad idea even if your getting frame rates way above 60 it doesn't matter because it gives you more head room for mods, newer games, or just increasing the smoothness and responsiveness of your current games

HD 6850 or HD 6870
SwissJustMe 1 month ago
@SwissJustMe HD 6870 is better
27Geraline 1 month ago
@27Geraline
Of course but also more expensive.
SwissJustMe 1 month ago
@MrVpsb i would recommend a 550ti or a HD 6850 they are about $130
TheRuddydoom 1 month ago
@TheRuddydoom
A GTX 550 Ti performs about the same like a HD 6770. A HD 6850 plays in a completely different league.

If you have a 1920x1200 28 inch monitor do you need an extreme or high level card? (For playing games like BF3, BATMAN ARKAHAM City and other demanding games)

If your thinking about getting something lower then a HD6950 right now wait soon the new series will be out & theres going to be a glut of these up for sale cheap from people who are buying the newer series. Chances are they will be Bios flashed to HD6970 & ready to go already.

H0LM1337 1 month ago
@H0LM1337 i have gtx 560ti that can do 3d and i play bf on high with avg of 50fps its good for its money though i suggest getting an ati card i like them more only got nvidia cause all local tech store sold. so i would probably suggest getting ati 6950 around same price and very nice card =)

@H0LM1337 get a Radeon 7970, it's expensive but will last long

cyclone 2 or r6850?
FirstDragonSlayer 1 month ago
well gtx 560ti's go for about $250 so I don't know if you want to spend that much I would advise to save up the extra for it and if you can't then you should stick with the 460 or the 560 (non ti)
acemace3618 1 month ago
UP TO 160$ for low end card. BAHAHA! a 6850 low end? its 150$ wtf and can run 1080p on max most games
l3utterScotchxx 1 month ago
@l3utterScotchxx This was made in April, prices change.
excalibar12 1 month ago
@l3utterScotchxx 6850 aint actually that good but yeah it is mid range won't play bf3 anything more than medium 1920-1200 res though or whatever highest res is
alramd 1 month ago
I think i should go for the geforce GTX 460 since i mostly play shooters and racing games on 1920x1080 resolution. I'm currently using a GT 240 which is poor for high resolutions
lazarsmiljanic1996 1 month ago
@lazarsmiljanic1996 for 1080p and as you said the games you play, I would recommend the gtx 560 ti you get alot of performance for your money
acemace3618 1 month ago
@acemace3618 Cool. Now all i need to do is find a GTX 560ti under 200$ and i'm good to go xD

Is a 6770 good on a 19 inch monitor to play games on mid - high?? Or will a 6670 be enough ? Thx
ladeninlogen 1 month ago
@ladeninlogen I made a big mistake by going with the 6670. The 6770 is almost twice as good as the 6670, and it is only about $10-20 cheaper than the 6670. So I would highly recommend the 6770.

My monitor is dell st2320l 23" 1080p full hd monitor
I want to play graphical intensive games like crysis
now tell me the best bang for the buck gpu for 1920x1080 resolution i want to play at maximum setting possible with no anti aliasing or maybe 2x anti aliasing no more then that
thankyou waiting for reply
entertainment033 2 months ago
@entertainment033 If you can wait until January 9th, I would go for the radeon hd 7970. It is priced lower than the gtx 580, and performs better. It is also using 28 nanometer technology. It is a PCIe 3.0 card, but you can use it on PCIe 2.0 with little to no difference.
Destructioniskey 2 months ago
@Destructioniskey i cannot afford 6970/7970 :(
i want budget 1080p gpu :( 7970 will max every game on 1080p i don't want that extreme
i just want to max every game but with no anti aliasing
and i don't know that it is true or not that turning of aa will give massive amount of fps
so maxing out game on 1080p with no aa i want that card :( will 6850-6870 do that ?
entertainment033 1 month ago
@entertainment033 Nope. atleast a 6970 is needed for that.
Umbra360 1 month ago
@Umbra360 :( that will max game with anti aliasing i dont want to spend extra money just for anti aliasing :( you are making 1080p games too expensive it is not like that :(
entertainment033 1 month ago
@entertainment033 The 6870 would also max out most games. The only game I can see it have trouble maxing out is metro 2033 on ultra settings with dx11 enabled.
Destructioniskey 1 month ago
@entertainment033 I have a 19" monitor and I play BF3 on Ultra @ a solid 55 fps. I have an XFX 6870 1gb non reference card. Im thinking about moving up to a 23" monitor, so I might only be playing on high.
BBRRAAAAAAPP 1 month ago
@BBRRAAAAAAPP good luck you are taking right decision without good monitor it is not that much fun
and 23" is good choice pc gaming is perfect on 22-24" monitors bigger than that looks very large as we sit like 2-2.5ft distance
my friend has 26" and it is very large in cs he always need to move his cursor allot
so go for 23" it is the perfect size really
entertainment033 1 month ago
I got a Asus hd 6950. I got a question, whem im playing metro 2033 on drirectx 11, max resolution/setings 1080p. I got up to 30 and 40 fps, sometimes litle less, but the problem is sometiems the fps still around 30s, but the images are geting cuted, slowing down and stuff. any ideas?
lufodao1990 2 months ago
My small budget forced me to get an HD 6770 this year. Damn this economy! Thankfully, the 6770 does a great job on my 20" monitor.
TheArnold46 2 months ago
Guys I got a 3k budget for a gaming pc I plan to build. I will be playing graphic intensive games like bf3, skyrim, crysis2 and stuff like that and on a monitor that is 1920x1080. So let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks :)
XxAssasin21xX 2 months ago
@XxAssasin21xX what the hell, with 3k you could buy the most expensive component for every category.
lendial 2 months ago
@XxAssasin21xX Lol 3k budget. You can max out any of those games with a 1000$ budget. If I were you I would wait until ivy bridge is released (sometime in April) And get the highest end i7. I would also go with a ivy bridge compadible motherboard (most socket 1155 motherboards will be compadible with a BIOS update) and this motherboard should support PCIe 3.0 and crossfire. I would also go for hd 7990 (whenever it is released) in crossfire. And maybe 32gb of ddr3 RAM @1600MHZ.

1 question..
Will a video card improve your pc and stop a lagg on games like bf3 or do you have to imrove your pc by a processor??

@ivancool1997 what do you mean by lag? if its your fps, then yes, if its you lagging with have a high ping no. also the processor does bottleneck any thing you do on your pc so if you want to game you should have 4 or more cores or a 2core with a high clock speed.
u4eagun 2 months ago
