u have to give some time to let it develope the redness

if not then its a lower quality super red

Man, my Asian arowana just killed himself. I had the tank securely covered, but he jumped towards the light bulb and got stuck in the light bulb cover. Expensive fish man, that sucks.

I heard that the Asian arowanas are illegal in the US. I am pretty sure that the South-American and Australian ones are legal though.

any arowanas other than the generic silver ones are illegal in the US- Yes, the silver ones are generally found in south america, therefor you're correct. Not sure about australia. You can import the colored arowanas to canada, however (no laws against possession there) and then potentially smuggle them through customs... Though you're in alot of trouble if you get caught

Thank you very much, that was a great explaination. I am thinking about making a huge concrete/plexiglass enclosure and getting arowana sometime down the line. Looks like silver unless there is some sort of loophole for cross-bred ones.

that might hold one when its fry, but not much longer than that. Try adding a zero on the end of 33 and then you're int he ballpark.

And if you live in America then these arowanas are priceless. They are illegal.

sorry to tell you this, but arowanas get about 3 feet long. that's longer than a whole 33 gallon tank end to end. for that kind of fish, you need maybe 100-200 gallons minimum. or are you saying that the new fish and the new tank are unrelated?
