The world cup stadiums have no use anymore. Soccer is not a popular sport in South Africa and the stadiums are only making money from tourist-fees. They weren't built for any other sport - so even they are now stagnant.
South Africa was well on its way to becoming a super power in the world - our economy continued to grow steaply until the world became afraid and placed sanctions against us. Now we are left with something most other African countries are left with: Stagnation as a result of mismanagement.
#5 FW de Klerk and Mandela shared an alliance - with personal gain associated. de Klerk betrayed his people for money, fame and personal glorification. He even left his beautiful wife for a Greek woman after a modest life with her became impossible.
#4 Nelson Mandela killed hundreds of people (believe it or not). He was the mastermind of plots against the government with terrorist attacks like bombs, crashes etc. He was jailed for High Treason and Murder - a 'law' that still stands in South Africa.
#3: (continued) If there was any discrimination, it was personal and not political. The Afrikaners took apart the country into different independant states where the blacks governed themselves. They also didn't quite understand what a border was... Conflicts were mainly because they couldn't govern themselves and sought the success of the Boers.
Hey friend, just want to correct you on these points:
Fault #1: South Africa's political history can be traced to the early 1800's.
#2: The Afrikaners (one 'a') took power in 1910 by democratic election - no blacks participated because they didn't quite understand what they were voting for yet.
#3: Blacks were educated in schools Afrikaners built, they were employed on farms and other lands Afrikaners established - with fair payment.
