OK, a great deal of fans wanted Alex as Jace, I being one of them. However, someone else will be playing him. Sure, Alex won't be Jace, but I've heard good things about the guy who will be playing him. As long as the ones making the movie don't cock it up like others have with other book to movie adaptations we should be fine. If you're all so bummed out about it, read the books again and imagine him as Jace, you don't have to watch the movie if you don't want to.
