OK, o defense anybody pop into your mind for trade?
I was thinking maybe trade a young offense guy (Ford) for a young solid defense guy, only because we have good depth @ receiver. What move would you make?
Im sure you already know the roster but our DTs are older; Seymour, Kelly, and Henderson all over 30, except Byrant mid-20s. Also there is a DT Jamie Cumbie young guy.
We have good, young depth with our DEs with Shaughnassy, Houston, Moss, Brodine, Trevor Scott, and Davis Hall ( all these guys under 27). Maybe trade a DE or two for a violent, run-stopping DT

Raiders have to many "pieces" that don't fit on the D side of the ball.
Houston isn't a 4-3 DE. Wimbley is not a 4-3 LB, he is a pass rusher. D. Bryant is 3-4 end size. Curry played great in that position IMO. The DBs are a mess, lots of them are "one trick ponies," which means they are good at one thing, but suck at every other aspect of the position.

We had a bunch of lame ducks on our staff last season and they're all gone. btw.. please don't "stalk" every video flooding a shitload of comments every day. Considering your registration date.. @coldglass1 and that still pisses me off. I remember during preseason yelling put Moore in and have him start. He was the only player actually trying to make plays. By 2012 it would have been Chekwa and Moore playing CBs. Everyone else needs to get cut or hone their skills (DVD). At least we still have Chekwa

I have hope for Allen he is a young guy who has a lot to get ready for most people forget that the Bronco's BIG losses were Tebow turnover's and inability to throw the ball the Pat wasn't all on the D either. Now people also gotta look at today's great asnd past NFL coaches they weren't always HC most were unheard of special teams,LB,assistant,DC,or OC now all we need is a few new good D players to thwack away balls and get more intterceptions.
change in this sense is a good thing for the Raiders. This is what the Raiders needed because as that data shows, the raiders have not made any drastic improvement. From Tom Cable to Hue Jackson, the changes has been minor. Hue Jackson is a decent offensive coordinator who hasn't won a super bowl and got too power hungry! Hue wasn't use to being a leader! He was too much talk and no action! He was weak! But who knows? the only thing I know is Raider Nation baby!! I embrace this change!
@rai8erNation Hue Jackson was great. Who else would have same record when losing 3 of their top players in Robert Gallery, Zach Miller, and Nnamdi Asomugha.

@raver823 He definitely out played routt. He not a good tackler like most corners but he was aways in position to make a play on the ball. And most importantly he was only flagged once or twice. Unlike routt.

lulz, wow I think the Raiders are going to the Superbowl this year now ... Raiders only gave up 40 points once this year .... The Broncos gave up 40 points 5 different times ... So glad you got a great defensive coach to fix your defense :P ... But those games were all Tebows fault anyways.

As for Allen, while I agree with Monte Poole that this is like betting on a longshot, I do like the pony. Allen is a sharp dude. This is a coaching league. However, if Denver replaces allen with del rio, I'm not sure we're going to be able to call that a good trade-off in the short term. Could we have gotten Hue as head coach and del rio as DC? Much will depend on who allen is able to get for his staff. This is a coaching league. We need a LOT of good coaches. The clock is ticking....
There are a lot of good free agents. If the Raiders build off last two seasons, and use free agency to replace the draft, there's no reason not having a bunch of draft picks this season should hurt us. I am against trading our young talent for draft picks. We've got some game changers on offense. 4 of them, in my mind. dmac, moore, ford, and reece. I guess one might add dhb, but any of these guys can take it to the hizzouse with the ball in their hands. It would be foolish to trade any of them.
