very helpfull i got my first nitro hell my first plane and have not flown it yet.little nervous alot of work could be gone in a flash! lol thanks again going to use your advice
@jimmyjohn2468 hay john if u are new at the hobby it would probably be a good idea to look for a club near u.they will probably have a buddybox which allows an instructor to help u fly with 2 remotes
@maciejbugno Take this advice... shut the fuck up. I bet you don't even own an aerobatic plane like that yourself to make a better demonstration than this? This guy is more skilled than you'll probably ever be.
i just recently got a trainer airplane, never flown a plane before i got it for free it needs a remote, its nitro made out of balsa wood. single rear aleron and wing alerons, rudder and throttle what should i get for a remote? i have a futaba platinum something 7 ch receiver. its an older plane probably 30 years + all original never ran. what kind of remote?
@nicklokey916 I have a DX6I with servos and I gotta tell you that it works perfectly! can hold up to 10 models (Yak-54, Blade, Extra, etc. either way more than enough room to hold your planes/helicopters) 2 types of aircraft, heli/plane/jet, 2.4 GHz DSM Spread Spectrum Technology, so when you're at the flying field you don't need a clip just go fly! In the end I highly recommend this reomote control! I use it and it's really worth the money ($300-$600, 600 if you want servos)
usually.. pilots have quite a distance before they land.. they establish the proper glide slope so when it's by the airport it's nice and smooth.. this was a very short glide slope so adjustments had to be made.. wasn't smooth because of that but if the distance to landing was increased I think it would have looked smooth
Honestly I just don't get it. All the animosity and hate that people post just baffles me. I cant say that I'm a huge fan of the OP's vids, just because he reviews certain products that im not interested in. But i dont understand the need to bash, insult, and degrade him while he posts a vid that helps explain to noobs how to land. Granted the size of the plane is a little large to use as an example, (that damn thing is huge!), but let the man do his thing! Im sure someone will benefit.
I think any rc plane that lands in ONE piece, is a great landing ! !! great vids and check mine out , RC Spitfire. 1 year of RC flying experience and 21 years of building talking here. There always Haters that are bitter...stay humble !
@gcdesroches no my man, we need to see real life plane and real life expertise. not some Realflight or Simulator landings. show us some real life landings else can't approve the responses.
@alishanmao Why naturally not. Real Flight only exactly mirrors real life. Admitting that I can actually do what I said I could would be tough. I don't mind though, my skin isn't as thin as yours.
Not really impressed. You might learn to set your elevator dual rates and or increase the dead zone of the elevator servo if your fingers are that unsteady. Any good radio has those features built in. You looked like a boat on choppy water as you came in. Mix in some throttle too. A click or two in and out can make a lot of difference. 20 years RC talking here, you look ok in the air but like 90% of RC pilots you've never taken time to learn how to get back on the ground.
@gcdesroches Thank you 20 years of RC Talking. but instead of appreciating what one is trying to do and do it for good, you come up with showing off your 20 years of RC talking. Well why not show us how you land your planes. Words are not enough. On youtube people trust videos, not just someone typing comments. Cheers.
@alishanmao I have a video posted, You tube won't let me add the link here but it ought to be under my name.
And the guy IS doing a good thing, I'm not bashing him. It's just that most RC people can't land a plane. They would rather fly and do stunts than do mundain things like practice landing. My point is this: landings are what save plans from coming home in pieces, learning how is just smart. Think about it, if you can land smooth it means your technique is smooth.
@alishanmao No need to get defensive Ali, just do your thing and let people bash. Im sure you have helped a lot of people decide on what to buy and how to fly. Keep up the good work bro, and just enjoy the flight! ;-)
@gcdesroches This video is a tutorial for beginner, and a lot of beginner use little 4 channels radio with no possibility to mix anything so they must learn to be very smooth with sticks and that's what alishanmao said in his video, so it's a very good tutorial ! Post a good landing video (in real life !) where we can see that it's you piloting, and show us your "20 years RC" and then we will see if they can talk for you or if you should shut up, ok ?
@maverick28110 I only have one video of me landing an RC plane. it has three landings in it all made in the same flight. They are not as perfect as my realflight landings but VERY close. The problem is that landing is usually uninteresting. They SHOULD be good enough to prove my ability though since they we all made in a 30 mile an hour wind at the begining of a rain storm. You can see rain on the lense and hear the wind, will that show my ability well enough?
@gcdesroches Dude, I don't know if you have another video but your two Real-flight landing videos on your channel suck. Land a mustang on the mains straight and level, unless your a WWII Ace showing off to his squad, don't try to make a 3 wheel landing. Besides, since we cannot tell exactly the speed of rc planes, it is difficult to land with a high angle of attack, your video in the sim is showing a UNREALISTICALLY stable plane. Try that with a scale (TF P-51GS) and see if it goes home intact.
Hey Ali, great vid dude. Helpin' the in need for landing training pilots out. (not me btw butt still, much respect dude and when are we gonna see a turbine in your hands!)
@gcdesroches Wow, if you really have 20 years of RC behind you, then why do your radio settings dictate how smoothe your landings are. You kind of sound like one of the 90% you were talking about. Now I'm no Pro Sponsored Pilot here, but I'll tell you right now that my 10 years of flying .60+ planes (only the last 4 years with a computer radio) and my landings are as smoothe on my 31% Extra as they are on my .60 Yak Beater plane (Futaba Skysport analog). Precision flying is 90% Pilot, 10% setup.
@death2tuners Settings don't matter to me. Most of my flying was done on an old Futaba black box. Not even legal anymore. Now a days though nearly all radios have dual rates. I seldom bother with them but if you have them and you need them use them. You guys have blown my comment so far beyond a simple observation that I was not impressed with a landing that looked like a choppy day at sea that I wonder if you have lives of your own? I didn't say he couldn't fly. He just needed a better example.
@petritwow Depends on the plane.. Fiberglassed planes cost A LOT more than the ones constructed with balsa and plywood. Mine was about 800 bucks (made of balsa), it's about the same size but it's an extra.
I am denied to leave the German NAZI state since 1988.I had been tortured several times in other countries by the BND which is the renamed GESTAPO to force me back.My personal experience makes me believe that almost every German living abroad is a German snitcher. How comes that today many people around the world are accepting that Germany is infiltrating their society to gain control?

@Tilan123 thanks mate. i have the T6EXP, how is yours different to mine btw? Also, i did mine on mode 3 because i could use the right one as a throttle (it doesnt jerk back itself) is it possible to adjust it so the right doesnt deflect back on its own?
@Killumforya1 What a Moron you are. my 7000+ subscribers and 2000 Friends lets thumbs up on this fag's channel that he is a total loser and a true moron.
good job when you make a good landing (like u did) when the main wheels are in front dont pull up good that you didnt adn if there in back you bring the nose up of ur plane 15 degrees but thats mostly for rc airliner plane
so if you line up to the runway you need to use the rudder to steer the plane to a smooth landing so you DONT crash right and by that i mean you dont use the wings as you land right?
Hey, this was not a perfect landing. Because you have to do moviments with the elevator rather that it doesnt makes the airplanes climb a little. It's just a tiny moviments, but accompaining the descent!
if im coming in too fast or too high to the runway, instead of doing another circuit or extednding and landing further away from me i violently shake the plane left and right with rudder and ailerons and a bit of up and down on elevators. the plane slows right down and i get a perfect"swish" landing irght at my feet.
I'd would not agree with your approach and will higly not recommend it doing. Sometimes you do not have enough time to violently shake things specially doing so violently on elevators or rudder can get your plane out of control. Best way is to go another circle reducing the speed n making a better approach and landing. Thanks anyway for your comment.
@alishanmao hahahaha!! I was wondering if he flew at a feild that you had to pay membership. If so the first time they would see him doing that they'd be questioning WHAT THE HCK HE WAS DOING!!!!
U would use them when u have experience. U have them so u can make the plane spin quickly, thats called 3D flying. Dont try this when u are learning. If u need more advice contact me.
Thats probably my favorite transmitter.

Practice, that is what counts. People typically fly around for 10-15 minutes and then land one time. That doesn't give a lot of practice.

so if you line up to the runway you need to use the rudder to steer the plane to a smooth landing so you DONT crash right and by that i mean you dont use the wings as you land right?
ventrillo1 1 year ago
@ventrillo1 you need to use rudder, ailerons and throttle combination for a good landing my man
alishanmao 1 year ago
ohh mama! god vids bro!
ulises83 1 year ago
i can tell you how to land it a lot easier.....let go of the controller
spartan0738 1 year ago
@spartan0738 thats how you could land and has a chance of crashing and a chance of landing good

billabongBUTTS 1 year ago
you do use rudder to line up on the runway, some new pilots dont but thats just lazyness
peterm8133 2 years ago
rudder is very important when it comes to landing. specially when its crosswind
alishanmao 2 years ago
Thank you for this video. I could never land before but now I can.

rcairplanewiz 2 years ago
wtf using the rudder one approach
3dhelikid 2 years ago
@3dhelikid Yes!!!! When you have a crosh wind and you do a straight line up.
derderpaintballguy 2 years ago
you don't use the rudder on landing you let the wind push it back so you go straight it wont look straight but it fly's straight
3dhelikid 2 years ago
you do when youre crabbing in a crosswind
fspacerc1 2 years ago
i had this plane at one point well similar and tbh the survos in it went so i sold it and put the engine on my beast
lewisf726 2 years ago
Hey, this was not a perfect landing. Because you have to do moviments with the elevator rather that it doesnt makes the airplanes climb a little. It's just a tiny moviments, but accompaining the descent!
blue89fox 2 years ago
if im coming in too fast or too high to the runway, instead of doing another circuit or extednding and landing further away from me i violently shake the plane left and right with rudder and ailerons and a bit of up and down on elevators. the plane slows right down and i get a perfect"swish" landing irght at my feet.
angrygunsmith 2 years ago
I'd would not agree with your approach and will higly not recommend it doing. Sometimes you do not have enough time to violently shake things specially doing so violently on elevators or rudder can get your plane out of control. Best way is to go another circle reducing the speed n making a better approach and landing. Thanks anyway for your comment.
alishanmao 2 years ago
ye i only do it on my foam planes, but it does work, and i dont do it too violently tha i lose control, I make sure i don stall the plane.
angrygunsmith 2 years ago
@alishanmao hahahaha!! I was wondering if he flew at a feild that you had to pay membership. If so the first time they would see him doing that they'd be questioning WHAT THE HCK HE WAS DOING!!!!
derderpaintballguy 2 years ago
Also, learn to "slip" a plane, brings it right down. You can see pics/videos. Real planes do it alot
starwarsjazz 2 years ago
hey ali im just starting to get into rc flying.
do you think that if your extremely good at driving rc truck you could possibly catch on with rc flying as well?

thanks.

when do you use full throws? Why do you have them?
Nile505 2 years ago
U would use them when u have experience. U have them so u can make the plane spin quickly, thats called 3D flying. Dont try this when u are learning. If u need more advice contact me.
