  • Asai Sensei was a genius. He WAS Nijushiho and Nijushiho was Asai. I pratice Karate-Do for 30 years now, and for 20, I'm trying to do Nijushiho Asai way. Not even close.... don't think I'll ever going to be. Osu!

  • oss, sensei

  • queria ter só i por cento deste grande mestre ...oss sensei

  • Why don't they show more KARATE instead of some old ass fuck jacking off behind a curtain for 7 minutes!!! CUNTS

  • @MrCerebralCortex That man you are refering to as an "old a** f*** " is an internationally respected man of the Arts. A person of your stature clearly knows nothing of respect which in return will never receive any.

  • @TheMartialElite

The man you're talking to cares nothing about the so called talents of other random people, nor do I seek to make you understand that which you obviously cannot understand. Do not bore me with your mysticist "wisdom", you imposter.

  • @MrCerebralCortex

I understand perfectly. IF you do not care for others talents then why bother watch the 'old a** f*** jacking off behind a curtain for 7 minutes' followed by leaving an unnecessarily rude comment? And Mysticist Wisdom? If you can't even merely honor the dead and respect anyone in anyway do you really believe anyone will respect you back?

  • @TheMartialElite

Ma'am. Please calm yourself and think a little more. You need to wake up to reality.

  • R.I.P master....

  • man was that a sweet nijushiho

  • its more like aikido nagewasa...

  • SALUDOS DESDE

    LIMA - PERU

    LIMA - PERU

  • Tremendous demonstration , that last kata must be his own kata as i had never seen that before but I absolutely loved it ! simply fantastic and so meaningful and purposeful . master Asai was on of the kind , shotokan at its best , I agree with whoever said that !

  • It's amazing how many people cannot realize that fighting is just one part of Karate. Respect, humility, dedication and kindness are greater parts, by far.

In Karate you do not train to hurt, you train to know yourself and to defend yourself if there is no other option. If you have to strike, you strike as hard as you can and do as much damage as possible.

The Karate mentality is "fight is very bad" "if we have to fight then we will get seriously hurt"

I rather be a karateka than a "badass"

  • absolutely beautiful ...

  • Shotokan at its best ! Oss Sensei!

  • OSSS!! SENSEI!!

  • Tetsuhiko Asai was master of Masao Kagawa??

  • yes he was I have read in one of Kagawa's interview

  • Excellent, thank you for posting!

    An inspiration for sure.

  • He was in fact master of the martial arts.

    Thanks for this video.

  • My God! This man is incredible, his moves are no-nonsence and strikes powerful.. Wish to be in his shape at that age...

  • it's always sad when a great master like this dies, but his spirit will always live on through his students and those they teach!

  • 哲彦

  • i wanna see a sparring match between him and Bruce Lee D=

    that'd be epic!

  • Bruce would not do well, he was still very young and not fully developed and his Ki and skills were still not mature enough.

  • but bruce was fit in wing chun and the straightness and the chi sao at the level bruce had developed would have made him at least a worthy oppenent and it would have been an interesting fight

  • Being fit and having developed and mattured are not the same. I have seen when someon I respect and knew how great he was as a fifth dan getting promoted had to face his senior that was 7th and I saw this man being tossed around like a little child, it was amazing, your Ki is not even fully developed. I asked my instructor when did you reach your peak, past tense, his response was when I get to 65 and he was 48 at the time.

Worthy for someon at his level is different, bruce was great US, Europe

  • great skills! he is so fast and strong, just amazing!

    Wanna be like him

  • oos what a great master and a lost to karatedo.Sensei Andre you are a very lucky man who trained under Master/Kancho Acai

  • looks like chay li fut. are they related

  • really brilliant video of asai-sensei. I saw it at the funeral too but he as truly fantastic

  • Hi andrebertel! and thanks for your comment. One year passes soon fron sensei died. So I thought, that I should put it up and let many other people see it, for the memory of the great karate master!

  • It was great seeing the footage of Sensei demonstrating Shotei-dai (at a seminar somewhere). I have never seen that footage before, and really loved it. Great stuff! This is a wonderful tribute to Asai Sensei. Mrs. Asai did a fantastic job with this production. I'm 'over the moon', that in part one of the tribute, are several clips, from our last enbu. Again thank you very much for this excellent footage!
