Het is moeilijker om door de selectie voor vlieger te komen, maar bij de mariniers zijn de meeste uitvallers tijdens de opleiding.
Ik heb het BTW niet over het lichamelijke deel van de selectie, want die is bij de mariniers zwaarder, maar over de psychologische onderzoeken, waar je ruimtelijk inzicht enzovoort word getest.
@XtRekon lol trust me the royal dutch marines have specialists wich are better trained then the navy seals, called "kikvors mannen" they are an elite unit within an elite unit just like the seals are.

@kluunjr I have red on the internet that the MARSOF is in a Task force group with other SF of NATO(US navy SEALs, SAS, German KSK....) But the fact is if you talk about naval special forces than the US navy SEALs are the best in there job they are the men who can do it all and are trained harder and better than the MARSOF. I know you are Dutch and that you want to suport your country with everything but you have to look at the facts I have red some things about MARSOF and allot about navy SEALS.

The Royal Netherlands Marines and the Royal Marines Commandos are like for like basic training is similar and there Both Elite i think Royal Marines Commandos is just 2 weeks more

My older brother who is in the UK royal marines told me that the reason why the Dutch marines is 2 weeks shorter is because they are slightly smaller so their administration in the final weeks can be done faster than the UK. I asked him and he honestly thinks British and Dutch Marines are the best Marines in the world they are the only two countries which have every single marine a fully trained Commando:)

Anyway with the current economic situation in Greece huge cuts are probably needed. Btw Greece spends a larger percentage of its GDP on military than any other EU country.

Forgive me for saying this, but the name Marine Corps here is misleading! In many countries, they have Marine Corps too, but usually Marines are just advanced infantry. But from this video it looks like these guys are more like Special Forces!!
The Dutch Marine Corps are very much like the Royal Marines they are commando trained like Special Forces. Basically there is very little diffrence between them and special forces really only in name.
Most Countries marines are naval infantary they dont have the extensive training.

Tot op zekere hoogte is dat zeker waar, maar je krijgt tijdens de opleiding ook ethiek. Tuurlijk moet je bevelen van je commandant opvolgen. Maar het is ook niet de bedoeling dat strafbare handelingen zonder nadenken, blindelinks worden opgevolgd.
Natuurlijk wordt er over nagedacht: Je zult bijv. nooit zomaar een burger neerschieten. Het gedeelte waar het meer over gaat, is het solo/duo ( met je buddy) gedeelte. Als de groep uit elkaar gaat en je wordt zwaar onder vuur genomen, is er een kans op een paniekaanval. Natuurlijk word je hier optimaal op getraind, maar het kan altijd gebeuren dat jij door de schock je grenaatje naar de arme chivilians gooit.
i know a guy who was in the royal marines and he went on a couple of exercises with the dutch marines and he said that they where the best soldiers he ever woked with and healso said that if he could have any regiment by his side it would be the royal dutch marines
Thanks, the Dutch Marines are rumoured to be one of the best trained on this planet. Luckily we work alot together with the English Marines. So our bond is pretty strong. Both respect to the English and Netherlands Marine Corps. And the Royal Marine Commando's of the UK

Ik wil je best een keer meenemen op een survival training. Mag je fijn 20kg bepakking en een diemaco meeslepen. Maar niet gaan huilen. Dat doe je maar bij je moeder.
Mariniers lopen achter. Sporten is niet cool, en 25 kilo + een Diemaco is niet zwaar. In een oerwoud dode dieren opeten is niet eng en trainen op de Antillen al helemaal niet. Vuurturk mongool je weet van niks. Korps mariniers heeft meer uitzendingen. En trouwens, iedereen weet dat er leden van het KCT in Afghanistan zitten dus houd je smoel.
Korps en KCT zijn ongeveer even goed en zwaar, maar wat maakt het uit, ze zijn allemaal dapper en goed in hun eigen specialiteit.

de royal marine commandos kun je qua organisatie en taken best vergelijken met het korps, niet voor niks moet het het 1e bataljon van het korps+morcie kunnen integreren binnen de RMC.
Maar binnen de franse marine heb je een shitload aan regimenten...dat mag enige naam hebben.
Daarbij zijn de les commandos marine de special forces van de Franse marine.
Daarnaast heb je nog de 6 Régimenten Parachutiste d'Infanterie de Marine(RPIMA)de 11 Régimenten d'Infanterie de Marine (RIMA)en de 3 Régimenten d'Artilerie de Marine.
Dus dat is behoorlijk groot opgezet en kun je meer de vergelijking maken met het USMC.
Korps Mariniers is simpelweg de beste. de prestaties die we hebben geleverd sinds we gestart waren 1665 hebben ons tot zover geschopt tot het elite korps van nederland. mariniers kunnen sinds aantal jaren niet meer commando worden omdat de generaal heb het afgeschaft vanwege dat 9 van de 10 marns het groene baret haalden en ze een zwakkere naam gaven. en luchtdebiel is in 1993 gestart en moeten nog veel presteren voordat ze op het korps niveau komt. geen discussies meer dit zijn de feiten.

I was just saying that the Dutch are not generally as bad as other countries when it comes to bragging about their historical achievements. Where as most other countries in Europe and America are far worse IMHO. just look at some of the Americans today, they think they are on top of the world.

Forgive me for saying this, but the name Marine Corps here is misleading! In many countries, they have Marine Corps too, but usually Marines are just advanced infantry. But from this video it looks like these guys are more like Special Forces!!

The Dutch Marine Corps are very much like the Royal Marines they are commando trained like Special Forces. Basically there is very little diffrence between them and special forces really only in name.
Most Countries marines are naval infantary they dont have the extensive training.

Tot op zekere hoogte is dat zeker waar, maar je krijgt tijdens de opleiding ook ethiek. Tuurlijk moet je bevelen van je commandant opvolgen. Maar het is ook niet de bedoeling dat strafbare handelingen zonder nadenken, blindelinks worden opgevolgd.

Natuurlijk wordt er over nagedacht: Je zult bijv. nooit zomaar een burger neerschieten. Het gedeelte waar het meer over gaat, is het solo/duo ( met je buddy) gedeelte. Als de groep uit elkaar gaat en je wordt zwaar onder vuur genomen, is er een kans op een paniekaanval. Natuurlijk word je hier optimaal op getraind, maar het kan altijd gebeuren dat jij door de schock je grenaatje naar de arme chivilians gooit.

i know a guy who was in the royal marines and he went on a couple of exercises with the dutch marines and he said that they where the best soldiers he ever woked with and healso said that if he could have any regiment by his side it would be the royal dutch marines

Thanks, the Dutch Marines are rumoured to be one of the best trained on this planet. Luckily we work alot together with the English Marines. So our bond is pretty strong. Both respect to the English and Netherlands Marine Corps. And the Royal Marine Commando's of the UK

Mariniers lopen achter. Sporten is niet cool, en 25 kilo + een Diemaco is niet zwaar. In een oerwoud dode dieren opeten is niet eng en trainen op de Antillen al helemaal niet. Skieen is alleen maar tof, ook met bepakking, en een Nederlandse Marinier hoeft nooit te vechten. Ik ken er een paar. Sport homo's, verder niks.

comments on srebrenica are very harsh unless youve worked as a part of the UN u wouldnt realise what a shower of shit it is,different armies with different levels of calibre,expierance (Pakistani and kenyan being worst i come across lol)and some cases allegiances working together with thier hands tied by red tape if the dutch would of got the air support they asked for maybe the serbs would of thought twice about entering a un protected area ,no worries Dutch doing a great job in afghanistan!

de royal marine commandos kun je qua organisatie en taken best vergelijken met het korps, niet voor niks moet het het 1e bataljon van het korps+morcie kunnen integreren binnen de RMC.
Maar binnen de franse marine heb je een shitload aan regimenten...dat mag enige naam hebben.
Daarbij zijn de les commandos marine de special forces van de Franse marine.

Daarnaast heb je nog de 6 Régimenten Parachutiste d'Infanterie de Marine(RPIMA)de 11 Régimenten d'Infanterie de Marine (RIMA)en de 3 Régimenten d'Artilerie de Marine.
Dus dat is behoorlijk groot opgezet en kun je meer de vergelijking maken met het USMC.

Korps Mariniers is simpelweg de beste. de prestaties die we hebben geleverd sinds we gestart waren 1665 hebben ons tot zover geschopt tot het elite korps van nederland. mariniers kunnen sinds aantal jaren niet meer commando worden omdat de generaal heb het afgeschaft vanwege dat 9 van de 10 marns het groene baret haalden en ze een zwakkere naam gaven. en luchtdebiel is in 1993 gestart en moeten nog veel presteren voordat ze op het korps niveau komt. geen discussies meer dit zijn de feiten.
