Can't you change the style of what your character looks like in the American version? You just have to go to the options.

I remember renting this game all that time when I was young. I wish I could find them both somewhere to buy. I totally agree with harusame009, no console can ever compare with N64. All of the games were unique and cleverly made. The only thing that was lacking were the graphics. I hate how Nintendo has released Mario Kart on so many consoles (Wii, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS) to try and compare with the original. They'll never be able to match the standards that N64 has set.

Ah...y'know, I really should pick up both Chameleon Twists off eBay. It's not that well-known of a game, and it's not too well rated either, but I loved it. I remember renting it a few times as a kid...N64 beats the crap out of any and all consoles, hands down.

I'm glad they changed the design of the chameleons, cause they actually look like chameleons! When I bought the 1st game, I was like "...this is a chameleon?..umm ok..." It was wierd, but I got over it, and sometimes forgot they were chameleons...

You people are complaining 2 much over a character design, especially u Mushurumu64...u didnt buy the game over a character design?

It took me a while too, but when I was able to figure out all the basics of this game, it wasn't too hard anymore. Sad to admit, it did take me 10 tries to figure out how to get to the last part without leaping off a ledge and regenerating in the correct area.

What? They totally changed the character design for the US game? Thats the whole reason why I never bought this game when I was little because the character didn't look like the one from the first game.
