  • wonOh and can you make like kind of like a vegiterian meal not that i am a vegetarian meal but i still want something thats like low calories <3

  • wont the choclate melt?? if it does is that a good thing cuz i think this looks so good but i dont like nuts is there any substitutes for the nuts? or not!

  • almond roca is my favorite <33i freaked out when i saw this. lol favorite dessert by my favorite youtuber's mama. you guys are perfect.

  • how many grams is a stick of butter???

  • @VegetarianVampire1 115g is a stick of butter, that's 1/2 cup as well.

  • I bet your goodies give your friends and family the runs, what a rude recipe.

  • yay..im making it right now ;))... ur a really good teacher ;))

  • nice rack

  • omg! i love almond roca!!!!!

  • i forgot this, and an Xcookage recipe BOOK for your hit recipe compilation.

Think about it, you can do it!!

  • Hi Greetings from UAE! i wish you had a website posting your recipes that would really be nice for easy referal.

You are awesome. no one should tell you any different

  • thanx it looks great i tried it but i dont know it just doesent really turn out like u showed in the video. It tasted great but i think i burned mine can i cook it on the stove instead of the micro

  • Im trying this :D

  • I don't have a large glass bowl, so I'm making this on the stove tonight. Wish me luckkkk (:

  • How did it come out? Also, how long did you have to cook it?

  • Well, it didn't really come out too great, haha.

    It separated :(

But I just drained off the butter and it hardened and tasted like toffee..soo...

    It was very yummy (:

    I cooked it 10-ish minutes.. I believe..?

I think it separated because I started using a spoon after a while instead of a whisk or because I might've overcooked it.

Either way, it was delicious and I'm definitely going to try it again.

  • @RachelB263 the 1st time I made it it seperated on me as well. What I did the next time was mix it longer which I think is what went wrong the 1st time

  • Ahhh, thank you. I'm planning on making it again this weekend, so hopefully it will turn out (:

  • I made this, and my entire family loves it!

  • I just finished making this and I didn't have salted butter so I used unsalted butter .Usually if you want unsalted butter to be salted, the rule of thumb is to add 1/4 teaspoon of salt for every stick of butter. So I added salt myself and it turned out perfect! The toffee tastes like the Skor chocolate bars but better! This was very quick and easy to follow, thank you xcookage for such a lovely recipe. Happy holidays and I hope this helps some people out!

  • thats a heatattack and a half if i ever saw one, im sure its delicous though

  • I found out about you from Gbonita,a makeup guru-in highschool. I hate cooking bec. you have to stand up,and its hard for me to stand for very long right now.

  • oh man, microwave recipe for almond roca?! heck yes, i'm in!

  • yummm :]]]]]]

  • This is my new favorite recipe. I love Heath Bars and this taste so much like them. Thanks so much for this great recipe.

  • 'its not low on calories' ;)

    it looks absolutely fantastic though!!!

    great ideas for christmas, thanks.

  • I made this yesterday. Fantastic! My kids don't like nuts, so I made a second batch and added some candy cane Hershey's kisses to the chocolate and chopped candy canes really fine instead of the almonds. I added two crushed candy canes to the butter sugar mix (I was out of peppermint extract) and a couple of drops of red food coloring. The toffee turned a pretty peppermint pink. Completely different, but really great and festive looking! I love your recipes.

  • I think that is a great idea. Sort of like Pepermint Bark. Thanks for sharing.

  • my old second grade teacher used to make this. it was delicious. she was the best teacher i ever had. i hope shes happy in heaven, baking up what she wants

  • FYI for those of you who don't have an enormous microwave ( like me ) use your stove top. I just made this in my microwave and it's a huge sticky mess in my kitchen. But so far, its looking really good !

  • I'm so sorry. I hope it still came out okay.

  • Oh yes yes it was amazing :) Made for my colleagues here in France and they just loved it :)) Thank you :)

  • that looks pretty easy and quick. I think I will try this recipe!!

  • Ok.. So i just made this... But i used the stove top instead.. It came out AWESOME!! YUMMMM. XCOOKAGE, I must say that all the recipes ive made from your channel have came out DEEEEELISH! You never fail me.. hehehhe.. I'm definitely a HUGE FAN! Thanks!!!

  • aww. man.. i wanted to see the finished product up close... this sounds good.. i will try this tonight.. thank you!

  • Unsalted butter or salted butter?

  • Don't let the butter scare you, its worth a taste or two.

  • i used bonnet bunny i think and the it doesnt turn creamy and thick, =[ is that i bad brand to use, it had veg oil in it does ur butter have oil or is it just regular butter?

  • omg im makin right now!! i hope it taste good =D mmm!

  • Is there enough butter that it won't stick to the cookie sheet or do you need to take the precaution of spraying it with cooking spray? This looks like a great recipe.

  • You do not need to spray the cookie sheet.

  • Looks great!

    Thank you:)

    BOP

  • Oh my God! What a delicious recipe! I wishe I could be in USA. 'Cause Brazil's so far alway! I love your recipes!

Thanks and Merry Christmas!! Pathy from Rio de Janeiro

  • @ albionangel

of you want softer toffee, replace some of the sugar with corn syrup. The syrup gets in the way of the sugar crystals crystalizing when cooling. it'll stay softer. I learned that from Good Eats! lol

  • This looks so good, but I can't have things that are super-crunchy like that. Is there a way to make it so that the filling part (butter and sugar) staays sort of soft and comes out chewy, instead of hard? I'm trying to think of what to add to it that would do it, but am drawing a blank.

  • Oh my gosh- thank you!

My Aunt makes this every year for the holidays, especially for us, but we live in Canada and she lives in the USA and we haven't been able to get down to see her in so long.

Now we'll be able to have a little memory of her with us this Christmas :)

  • OMG this recipe is so easy and delicious-looking! I will DEFINITELY be trying it. Thanks and merry Christmas, Mary!

  • OMG! this is really good and soooo easy... i just made it and it's chillin' in the fridge right now. I tried it before i put it in and OMG! i can't believe i made almond roca in the microwave! i only had "unsalted butter" so i put a tsp. of salt and it worked just fine. 2 thumbs up for this one! thanks Mary!
