IrishGhost, It is true that salvation is a gift from God. We are all saved from death/the grave. We will all be resurrected, but what about exaltation/eternal life? Do you think that is free too? Christ tells us that we must live our lives as he lived his, being obedient to the Father to have eternal life. We actually do need to keep the commandments.

Also they said that Jesus did this mostly wonderful thing...but...they had to do their part as well. We play no part in Salvation (John 3:16) it is free. Our part is making disciples (Matthew 28:19) but we are forgiven and receive salvation as a free gift no more no less.

I don't think the scripture in Matthew 22:30 is in the correct context for all marriages. He was referencing specifically to the dead woman and her 7 dead husbands who were Sadducees. Christ was talking directly to this case where Sadducees were not involved. It's easy to toss out a verse but you need to look at the context of the story respectfully.

I KNOW God will allow us to be together....and God held his promises even holding one back on this earth for me, my sister, as a testament to his word! Hi, I just looked in my copy of History of the Church, vol. 2, p. 182 and there is no reference to the Prophet Joseph saying Jesus was to return in 1891. As far as I know, he never said anything like that. I am happy that Jesus will come again and I hope to be able to see Him.

He poured out His wrath upon Christ who died for us and rose from the dead to give us life everlasting. That is the truth according to the Scriptures.

They are supposed to be Christian and yet do not follow Christ the author of the faith. Yes you can see your family in heaven, but not from religious practices. Faith in Him and Him alone is what salvation is and is the only means to get into heaven. I assure you that the Lord provides for children who die. A sparrow that falls to the ground He knows when it occurs. He takes care of His children and those who know Him. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life.

Christ is not god, for christ is gods son. Acts 7:55- "But he, being full of the holy ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of god, and jesus standing there, on the right hand of god." that obviously shows that they are 3 different people for he felt the holy ghost as he saw jesus and god standly seperatly.

IrishGhost, It is true that salvation is a gift from God. We are all saved from death/the grave. We will all be resurrected, but what about exaltation/eternal life? Do you think that is free too? Christ tells us that we must live our lives as he lived his, being obedient to the Father to have eternal life. We actually do need to keep the commandments.

Also they said that Jesus did this mostly wonderful thing...but...they had to do their part as well. We play no part in Salvation (John 3:16) it is free. Our part is making disciples (Matthew 28:19) but we are forgiven and receive salvation as a free gift no more no less.

I don't think the scripture in Matthew 22:30 is in the correct context for all marriages. He was referencing specifically to the dead woman and her 7 dead husbands who were Sadducees. Christ was talking directly to this case where Sadducees were not involved. It's easy to toss out a verse but you need to look at the context of the story respectfully.

Hi, I just looked in my copy of History of the Church, vol. 2, p. 182 and there is no reference to the Prophet Joseph saying Jesus was to return in 1891. As far as I know, he never said anything like that. I am happy that Jesus will come again and I hope to be able to see Him.
