People get fired when min wage goes up. Just look what happen when many states in US increased it a couple of years ago. Unemployment went up slightly and their prospective economies begin to decline.

I believe yoou to a certain point however in Michigan being a college student for most jobs I am either over or under qualified so something needs to change. i believe in a living wage that would help people.

I own a janitor company and th money isn't that great. Most can't afford to pay above $7 an hour. If they go higher because the govt then you are going to pay for it in higher prices.

Pressure needs to be place MOSTLY on the money-hungry companies that hire illegal imigrants for extra monetary gains; besides - keep in mind we live in a capitalist society and poverty will ALWAYS exist in our type of society. We need to stop sensationalising this issue and make REAL changes and the root of the problem.

1st - She's illegal and is NOT supposed to be in the US anyway; she (and other native Mexicans) need to learn how to live in their own coutries.

2nd - WHY the HELL are these women having children they can't take care of - use condoms for God's sake????????

3rd - The catholic clergy "helping" these people are the major cause for the mentality for not using contraceptives.

What a load of crap. If they don't like the jobs and a fair day's wages in Houston, why don't they load up and head on back to Mexico? I'm sure things are much better there. It's just not enough? Excellent show. It is truly amazing how we seem to be going backwards in the way our labor is treated. Unions gave us the 40 hour work week now it should make sure evryone is paid well and given medical benefits.
