I saw the video on TV during race coverage. It doesn't look that bad on camera, but obviously it was a bad crash. They tend not to replay footage showing fatal crashes out of respect for the family of the deceased. If you look hard enough, it's probably on the internet somewhere.

Actually it wasn't the wing strut, it was a chunk of tire that hit him in the back of his helmet and caused a skull fracture, the piece of tire was traveling at over 2000mph when it hit him.
A bar or something from behind him came forward and pierced his helmet all the way through. He was brain-dead and didn't die until later than night at the hospital. According to the employees at Gateway, at least.
