Hey I have a dodge charger also but I had orion hcca 15's sealed with two hifonics 2610's. Im switching my setup to some sundowns also. What subs are you getting if you dont mind me asking, and wouldn't the cone area of the 3 12's be better then the two 12's? if your going with the same amp also?

Hey man, were those terminals 1/0 or 2? Because every time I need to solder some 1/0, every terminal I get is too small to accept the wire. I normally use knu, which is kinda oversized so it's a pain in the ass to terminate. Plus after seeing your genius soldering methods, I don't wanna use anything else besides lugs like that because it seems to be WAY easier to solder those than ring terminals.

They are 1/0-2/0 they say on them.

I dont really care for this method but I work with what is there. I have a different style lug I normally like to use but not sure what they are called. But these did work well!!

Its ported along the back side (which is the side facing the cement when the box is out of the car). I have a video or 2 on my channel when I built the box, and my first testing of it when its not in the car. So check my other vids :)

what do you connect the switch to for cutoff? I want to install one to cut off my amps but havent figured how or seen any vid of it in detail if you can...nice job on box and whole install!!

@SinBeatz1 All I did was put a switch on the blue remote wire coming off the back of the radio. I just added the switch inline. So it goes to the radios blue remote wire -----> one side of the switch-----> other side of the switch---->to your amps.

If you have a sub amp, and a 4 channel amp and only want to turn off the sub amp, you will need to run a 2nd remote wire without a switch, otherwise adding a switch on 1 remotewire will turn both amps off.

It gained a lot by the ear, however its not at full potential, I ordered the SPL recones for the woofers so we can push more power to them! Amp is set kinda low currently but a lot louder then previously.

Dude U don't need em unles ur gonna pusk close to 2k per sub those sa's handle 1500 easy if u have the proper electrical 2 back the system and set the gains properly = dmm voltmeter and u know what ur doin

lmao, i actually have his version. thought it sounded familiar. i dont really like chopped music but its not too bad. i was just listening to it on some earbuds to see how clean it is and the treble sounds a lil clipped and scratchy and i dont like the popping sound when it chops. the bassline is clean though. im actually working on my own version right now. peaks @ 34, 45 and 50hz. and its clean as hell. might post it up with a dl link later if anyone is interested.

Yea, just use like 1/3 the width and maybe wrap it around 1.5 times. As soon as that tape hits solder its melted all up. I only do it because you cant really hold a hot terminal full of solder to put the wire in like a normal terminal.

@skater1737 Thanks and its still not done! Still have to resin the inside of the box and 45degree the inner 90degree corners, wrap the box in vinyl, make a custom fiberglass trunk lid panel and so much more!

All this is installed by me, and he is helping with what I tell him to do so he can learn more tricks and techniques :)
