  • It is really understandable why Iraqis are blowing themselves in so many numbers, your country gets invaded under the cover of fake WMD, but the real goal was to control your oil wealth.

Society fabric is torn to pieces and priceless Iraqi historical artifacts gets looted, yet everything was done millitary wise to ensure Iraqi oil continues to flow to fuel Western economies.

Some conservative estimate place Iraqi dead at over a million people. Oil still flows. Will you be mad?

  • Interesting that even the Museum holding priceless Iraqi history did not survive looting, but the oil facility got top priority security.

  • I cant believe people actually think the US entered Iraq cause it NEEDED the oil; The US imports over 250 million barrels of oil yearly and out of tghis only about 10 million comes form Iraq. 10 million bbs can be made up easily within the American's own borders, its not a necessity. But the Us econmomy is good when it has trade partners, many trade partners which is beneficial to the whole world. Remember Kuwait people? If its policy to go after other nations resources Mexico better look out

  • @Crumper00 It is for oil moron. The oil just in Iraq will be able to last us 2-3 decades after ours runs out. We already have over 10 American oil companies pumping in Iraq. No shit we are still pumping oil here, but we had to take theirs before we ran out. You can't invade after you already run out. Our gov. invaded because Iraq would not except the U.S. $ anymore, they wanted U.K. money because it's worth more. That's a 100% fact, I work for the gov.

  • @billy1303 You must be be doomsday fanatic, here in Ft Macmurray, this place ALONE can supply the US for the ALL their oil for the next 45 yrs. At todays production rate they can produce for the next 450 years with the reserves they are now working on. And they have only just begun to scratch the surface of reserves. We didn't move out of the stone age because of a lack of stones, the truth is the same with oil.

Your certainly not very bright. Why don't you learn to read and do some research

  • @Crumper00 Oh shit, I just checked your channel. I didn't know I was talking to a dumbass Canadian. I've been to the new oil rigs out in Iraq, so I know what I'm talking about. Good day.

  • @billy1303 Been to "New oil Rigs""? Was it shiny? That comment tells me you must be no older than 14. You know squat about drilling, oil or economics that is perfectly clear. Over 80% or Iraqi oil comes from offshore installations, are you a cook or a cabin boy? AGAIN: Pick up a copy or World OIl and start reading, you will learn something real and not the uneducated rhetoric you repeat because you listened to some other uneducated idiot spout off.

  • The Iraqis were doing fine for themselves, with private businesses, education and health care, political oppression or not, before US criminals arrived on the orders of their more oppressive leader to slaughter up to a million Iraqis with shock and awe, bring Al Qaeda to them and destroy their infrastructure. Stop patting yourself on the back like a crazed Jeffrey Dahmer. You actually failed at stealing Iraq's oil, and no amount of self congratulating tantrums will change that.

  • @Striker4928 Go back and check the economy stats again... the Iragi econmony tanked the week they invaded Kuwait, remember that country? The one where The Iraqi army blew up all the wellheads.. OH yYEAH, wasn't it the American and Canadian pricatley owned companies that put them all out in record time? Next you will say the George Bush Senior was paying the Iraqis to invade... You don't know history, in fact you don't know shit..

  • @Crumper00 I wonder what top ranking american generals were doing in Baghdad hugging Saddam & selling him all the weapons he had including gas weapons to use on the Iranians? That was orignally just a historical dispute over a buffer zone but the US turned it into a war which killed hundreds of thousands.. on both sides. Bush's father was a terrorist who supported genocide in South America and who set up his ally Saddam with a war machine, but then stabbed his dearest friend Saddam in the back

  • @Striker4928 America turned into war??? Its a Persian-Arab dispute over borders that has gone on since the 12th century. The relationship America had with Iraq was striclty to support them against Iran ONLY because Russia was supplying Iran, remember the cold war? Same thing when Russia invaded Afghanistan, the Americans supported Afganistan. Problem is terrorists always bite the hand that feeds them. Dearest friend? Stop reading National Enquirer, you abviously get your facts from there

  • @Crumper00 "the problem is terrorists always bite the hand that feeds them" sounds like an accurate description of America. The US always destroys the countries that would support them and then they kill millions. The US is "democracy" from hell.

  • @Striker4928 Your right, Japan and Germany have been in ruins since WWII, America follows the geneva convention when it comes to the rules of ending a war, they help rebuild the country with thier own money every time. How many billions have been spent on infrastructure in Iraq already that the terrorists keep blowing up. And the countries that the US are in were certainly stellar communities to begin with. Look at Iran, such a lovely vacation spot; the US will be sure to turn it to hell next.

  • @Crumper00 Almost nothing was spent on Iraq infrastructure the US destroyed, not "billions". A lot was spent for criminal contractors, and the puppet govt and mlitary, that's it. Sorry, but the Bush genocides are over and after Iraq and Afghanistan and the depression, the US is too bankrupt to do anything now except make noises. Iranian civilians will be safe from american terrorism. Iran's playing it smart anyway, they know all about american paranoid delusions and how to deal with them.

  • @Crumper00 Right up to Kuwait Saddam thought US was an ally. His mistake was to nationalize Iraq's oil and sell it to Russia. Kuwait was pissing him off by calling in all their loans, slant oil drilling into Iraq & treating Iraqis as second class citizens. Even so, he wouldn't have invaded Kuwait if he knew the US would betray him. He even called the State Department and was assured the US wouldn't interfere. The lesson is nobody should be an ally with the US it's like being friends with a viper

  • @Striker4928 . Your are correct on the Invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, they were almost bankrupt from the Iran war. As for the betrayal, the US improved relations with Iraq because the regime was improving on its human rights issues. However It continued sponsering terrorrists and the US knew this (everyone knew) so they never became allies or friends though the State Dept tried to persuade Saddam in changing his foriegn policy; he never did. Instead he snubbed the US and invaded Kuwait

  • @Crumper00 Actually you're wrong, that's US propaganda. The US is morally bankrupt. The US killed a million in Iraq, maimed the same, destroyed their whole infrastructure & 2000 year old culture, even destroyed their christian community-for selfish greed and immoral reasons. Saddam was a sworn enemy of groups like Al Qaeda and all islamist extremists. In fact he'd jail them wherever he found them. It was the US who brought Al Qaeda and then civil war to Iraq as a gift of their bloody invasion.

  • @Striker4928 Now you contradict yourself.. the reason the US is there.. you say for oil.. now it sends them to bankrupcy?, then its obviously not for oil or for riches. What part is propoganda, that Iraq has been waring with its nieghbors for thousands of years? Saddam was a sworn enemy to ANYONE that disagreed with him, he'd butcher his own cabinet ministers for having a difference of opinion. And better to kill a million Yemen terrorists in Iraq than wait for them to get to the US.

  • @Crumper00 kill a million yemen terrorists in Iraq rather than wait for them to get to the US?" now you're having serious delusions :D

  • @Striker4928 This is EXACTLY what happens when you leave rogue leaders of radical nationshave free reign; they will ALL eventually attack others. You either fight them in their own country or wait until they are in your own. BTW- My guess is Israel will wipe out the Nuclear Facility before Iran has a chance to use it against them, and why not? It is Iran's creed to annihalate Israel. Tis far better to fight your enemies on foriegn soil, if you disagree you are the delusional one.

  • @Crumper00 HOLY SHIT you are a nutjob!! Totally delusional!!! You need to take a great big drink of some really cold nice fresh water. And pour a gallon on your head, put some ice in it too, it might just wake you up.

  • @mattmatt115 You have anything intellegent to print? Or do you just roam YouTube doing a Beavis and Butthead impersonation?

  • @Crumper00 Hmm... Lets see i read your retarded comment, so i told you that you are a nutjob. Now Beavis and Butthead what the hell is that?!?! You ARE fucked buddy!!!!!!!

  • @mattmatt115 Thank you for continuing to prove my point. Give him a hand folks... isn't he wonderfull? I believe he performs nightly...

  • @Crumper00 Your point? You were making a point? Was it that you are an idiot? Because thats all i got from it

  • @mattmatt115 HEY EVERYONE, MATT WITH THE STUTTER IS BACK!! ENCORE , ENCORE... AINT HE SPECIAL....

  • @Striker4928 As for the US state departments position, its been the same for everyone for 200 years, no different. What about Britain? They carved the border for modern day Iraq. Your history is one sided, you are the reason the world keeps going to war. You forget history so it must keep repeating itself. Next you will tell me the nazis were a boy scout troup. Saddam himself was insane, he believed himself the reincarnated Nebuchadnezzar, yeah, & Iraq was a real great place to live.

  • There is a typo in the title

Your wrote "Guarding" Iraqi oil when I think you meant "Stealing".

  • @mortalmerlin Someone carrying it out in a hockey bag? Whose stealing it? Theu US? Out of 250 Million bbls imported yearly less than 20 million is expected to go to North America; that can easily be made up from ANY Latin American country. OH , by the way, the money in infrstructure to rebuild Iraqi OIl are 10X the amout than what can be produced in 10 years. Stop spouting uneducated rhetoric, learn to read and do some research before sounding like a whiny idiot

  • @mortalmerlin

    Yeah, like a major typo.

  • fisherman have the right for them to fish for a living, you us military are threat for them. U are robbers, steal our oils in iraq. First is because of WMD, then u say saddam is a dictator, after saddam is finished. Ur millitary are still in Iraq and your interest is because of our oil. U america still can say that islam is a religion terrorist. I say who are the real terrorist who are hiding behind the bushes but didnt want to admit.

  • i hope iraq quits being gay and build sup there country who s goba build the country iraqs will

  • iraq free your self set the oil sites on fire and the amricans will leave blood is worth more then oil

  • What's the current rate on liters of blood per barrel of oil nowadays?

  • I think the exchange rate is about (taking iraq);

1.5 million barrels per day * 160 ltrs = 240 million ltrs oil a day

14 civilians murdered by the illegal occupation force a day * 5.6 ltrs (blood in the body) = 78.4 ltrs

So about 3 million to one.

But given most of the murders are of children the 5.6 ltrs is probably over estimnated. I also think that given the US stopped counting civilian casualties the 14 per day might be on the low side.

  • And this war isnt about OIL, yeaaaaa righhhhthttt

  • === USA will become even more powerfull with HUGE IRAQI OIL reserves ... around 30 trillion DOLLARS ... WAR to kill OSAMA BIN LADEN ... hahahahaha JEWISH BULLSHIT ...

  • It's sad to see life wasted over oil. If there wasn't any oil over there, would people even know the name of the country?

  • @anarchy6668pro probably most definatly not, also wait for it there will be more country that people will be familiar with in the near future

  • I thought our soldiers were fighting for our freedom? I guess oil is worth more.

  • the earth news wow

  • closed for one day- wiping 6 billion of world economy, no-wonder all the worlds eyes are aimed at iraq.

  • *HearTs

  • Yes, its about oil. We live in an oil based economy. Gas prices being high IS A GOOD THING for the capitalist classes who speculate in oil. The War in Iraq benefits a very narrow sector of power. We can see this in the constant negociations between the Iraq government and BIG OIL CORPORATIONS. And the big corporations get what they want. Now, am I right, everyone? Do you agree?

  • The prized commodities along with economics and politics at work.

    Everyone wants the powaa!

  • "oil is a key to peace", yea as long as they keep selling to the US and in US dollar. if they sell it to china, or india, the US will bomb them again.

  • The "key to peace" is:

Setting a deadline for ending the occupation

    Negotiating transitional security measures

Holding new elections without foreign interference

Complete withdrawal of all US, UK & mercenary forces & closing of military bases

Handing control of all Iraqi resources back to the Iraqi people

Reparations & aid to help the Iraqis rebuild their country & deal with the ongoing consequences of sanctions & occupation.

  • In addition to that, a huge fucking apology, & appropriate punishment for US/UK war criminals, starting with Bush, Blair & Clinton.

All the same things in Afghanistan.

Finally, take control of our governments & ensure that this never happens again to Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran or anywhere else.

  • Saddam Hussein gone now. WhaT, iraq are you speaking oF iranian annexed iraq ?

    From:

    SOME ARE LEADERS TO SOME.

    Others are made leaders

    Over Others.

  • Let the Iraqis decide what they want to do with their homeland's oil. This is like someone is guarding my parent's house not allowing me to enter. So stop bombing us and other oil countries and go home Americans.

  • I thank Al Jazeera for this video and for showing why the US are in Iraq.

You are the best news agency in the world.

  • Those OF you ThaT Read This message wiTh Moral HeaTs and Minds. Please, STOP aTTacking your children sTomachs. Oil as a ExporT CommodiTy Feeds your children. Bin Ladin HAD NO PART in september 11 2001. Silverstein Properties blew up Twin Towers and Building 7 along with Donald Rumsfeld ' Pentagon', inner circle jew ' Zionists 'move to replace American constitution with' talmud law ' first step Patriot Act, then increase control of both political parties & hold onto ownership of Federal Reserve

  • osama has been dead for years...

    say no to globalwarmingfraud

    no more stupid.

  • Oil is the key to peace??? USA out of the middle east is the fucking key to peace!!!!

    WRITE IN RON PAUL!

  • right on. brazil managed to free itself from foreign oil since the oil embargo in 1970s. i believe we can do the same if we wanted to.

  • i began to search for the answer since we got attack on 9-11. i learned a great deal. i learned about our unqualify support for israel and support for tyranny monarchies and dictators in the arab countries and its impact to the muslim population. our government goal is simply to have access to arab oil with israel as proxy. that's understandable. we are addicted to oil.

  • osama's goal is very simple. 1) to remove israel as a country of judaim. he didn't say anything about killing all the jews. 2) to wipe out all the monarchies like the kings of saudi arabia, jordan, kuwait, etc. and remove all dictators like the ones in egypt, syria, etc. By doing so is to bring justice to the middle east through the use of Koran. Bin Laden told the U.S. to get out of his way, but the U.S. stills interfere.

i guess i like my SUV, so screw bin laden.

  • It's Iraq's key asset. It's the fourth biggest supply of oil in the world. All one needs to do to beat Iraq is to seize their oil supply and knock out their infrastructure. That's how vital oil is to Iraq's stability.

  • If you think we need to kill human life for oil there's something wrong. Do you think that way?

  • Are you an idiot, I was just quoting a book on military strategy to show how fragile Iraq's stability is because of its oil supply. You cripple that, you cripple Iraq. Without stability you cant have peace, plain and simple.

  • Stability, as in not killing too many innocent lives to justify oil stealing?

  • After their illegal invasion, the USA turned OFF most the oil production in Iraq

That is why oil went from $20 before invasion to $140 a barrel after

  • "everyone knows, oil is the key to peace in iraq" - rofl

  • KhmerD0g your comment about Israel is one big LIE!

  • go to israel and find out for yourself. i have.

use google to search for how much america give to israel. u must be a jew.

  • I feel invasion for oil is just another reason, but its real motive is to destroy muslim wealth n prosperity leading them to destruction in all possible ways......these are dirty political games from USA similarly as done in African Continent, check the videos in my account about free masons....

  • yeah, yeah got that right kingofhearts!

  • Come on Iraq. You should by now know that the US is not going away until you sign the Iraqi hydrocarbon law that lets American companies siphon off all the wealth that should go to your people. Just sign it and get rid of us. It is the only way this disaster can end.

  • that is so true. iraq's oil is the only thing that the US has interested in. bush used democracy as an excuse to go to iraq. there are many other places, Burma for example that their people need and want democracy. saudi arabia is another country that their people want justice, equality and democracy. but we instead support their tyranny monarchy. we support tyranny monarchies and dictators states like Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, UEA, etc.

  • thats a great idea man!

  • Any idea where the missing or "smuggled" oil goes?

  • George Bush and Cheyne retirement fund!!!

  • oh my gosh you are so right!

  • the amount of aid we give to israel each year, TOTAL $7 billions. my tax goes to their apartheid government. do u know israel has classes? top of israel society are: white western european jews, next white eastern european jews, next arab jews, next oriental jews, next black jews, finally non-jews. only white western european jews can own land in certain area. saudi arabia is doing the same. only saudi muslim men can own business & certain land. do u people remember south africa apartheid?

  • KhmerD0g what about Iran execute gays?

  • what about the United States killed many newborn and fetus with down syndrome each year? what about israel oppresses millions and kills thousands of palestinians each year just to expand jewish empire? iran execute 2 gay boys in 2005 and they got so many media coverage. it's the number of innocents kill that count. what part of the number don't u understand. maybe your head is full of scum and not brain. haahaaaa

  • What about it? No one said Iran or Iraq was perfect.

Did you know it is against islamic law to charge interest on money your lend to someone? I bet you like that if you are under any credit card debt, which is almost all Americans these days. Does it mean I want to convert the law to islamic laws? No.

The homophobics are rampant in this country too. They just don't get to kill anyone LEGALLY.

  • It's ~8.5 now

  • many iraq lost their for this oil along with been muslim.

  • this is great, the Iraq war has been won!

  • Use the oil money to rebuild the country dammit!

  • oil, the key to peace in Iraq ? ?? Oil was the reason for war in the first place. Bush wanted it .. but a stone got thrown in his way.. The locals seem to be fighting American invasion

  • The war wasn't about oil. This video explains pretty well how important oil is to Iraq's economy. Two oil rigs responsible for 93% of their GDP... protecting their resources is essential for rebuilding the country. If we are there for their oil, then why are our gas prices so high? Do you think that America couldn't exploit Iraq for its oil if we wanted to? I don't support the war, but lets not kid ourselves and keep saying that we are there for oil.

  • Gas is still so high priced = Greed, Greed, Greed...........

  • so in your opinion why is america there?

  • The war was ALL ABOUT OIL, jeez this has been proven over and over again. It's not even speculation.

Gas prices are high due to rampant unregulated speculation that drives up the price up DUE TO A WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST. You think the president has any control over prices?

It's a FACT that this war was about regime change and influence in the region. because of OIL.

Every oil company and Bush's pals have reported record profits, you think they care what you and I pay at the pump?

  • The war is about power in the Middle East with ties to Israel. The architects of the war (Cheney and Rumsfeld) thought it was going to be an easy operation like in Panama. Overthrow the regime and install a government that agrees with and likes the U.S. and its allies (Israel), which Saddam and the Iraqi people haven't done in many, many years. And of course there are undertones relating to oil considering that it completely drives the entire region, but its not the whole reason we are there.

  • Well put. I always tell people that the war was more about ideology than economics. However, since Iraq's natual resource is OIL and we would not have invaded a country if there is no natual resource to exploid, it is not really far off to say the war is about OIL.

I think your point is we did not invade Iraq to TAKE their oil for our use and our use only. However, we did start the war AFTER all other way of exploiting that resource failed.

  • agreed, just look up Project for a New American Century

  • yup this helps prove that usa just went to war with iraqi for its oil

  • $6,000,000,000 a Day off One Well ?

The Iraq war makes a lot more sense now.

  • No, she said off the "world economy" That doesn't mean the oil is worth 6 billion.

  • The Iraqi war was more about oil profits than getting access to new oil. Destabilizing the region brings big bucks to oil companies and if it takes 5 or 10 years to increase Iraqi production that is just fine with them. The oil will more than likely be worth more then.
