Obama has no choice b/c of Bush's mess.

GDP = Consumer Spending + Corporate Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports.

No consumer is going to spend money b/c they are scared of pending 20% unemployment.

Firms are laying off people left and right, so they have idol plants. They are not going to invest.

If these two are negative, then GDP will be negative WITHOUT massive spending. It's called "Keynesian Economics."

Govt Spending needs to replace these two or we are screwed.

I'm aware of them. Still doesn't change the FACT that GDP = C + I + G + X.

If C and I are going negative, and X ain't going anywhere b/c our export markets are tanking worse than the US, then only G can make GDP go up.

This is high school algebra and does not require any knowledge of Hayak to prove.

Don't believe me? If you got a $10,000 tax cut today, would you spend all of it? Probably not. No one else would either. Normal stimulative practices simply cannot work in this environs.

People against the bank bailout don't understand how firms make payroll in America.

Receivables come in (usually 90 days). Payables (esp. payroll) needs to go out every month.

So firms typically get ongoing lines of credit to make payroll, so people can feed their families and pay for their kids' glasses.

The entire economy revolves around this system. When the credit markets froze, banks stopped giving credit to even good firms.

This rippled everywhere, destroying firms and jobs!

Oh, and the bailout, started under Bush not Obama.

Paulson is not stupid and knew exactly what was happening. All credit was frozen and no one was lending to anyone.

There was no clear way for any bank to discern whether any other bank was still solvent.

Business people doing any transactions of any worth were scared to death. Had to do something.

That's why someone might take out an emergency home loan. That's what Bush and Obama had to do in the last nine months.

What good does it do to stimulate our economy with false money? The reason that the credit failed is that we do not have anything to justify it. Bush turned an $800b surplus into a $1.2t deficit. Of that $2t swing, 37% was due to the business cycle, 33% from Bush's tax cuts, 20% from Obama's extension of Bush's tax cuts and putting Bush's war on the books, 7% from O's Stimulus Package and 3% from O's other initiatives.

Bush refused to put his wars on the books, and refused to be honest with Americans about the cost. O has told the truth!

My favorite picture is "Americans will Always fight for Liberty" I spoke with my Nephew who is 17 and asked him if he cared that Our Government was spending his money and putting him in Debt. Additionally, it is just a slideshow with a pan . . the actually skill level involved is nothing spectacular. The kids strength was in ordering the pictures, but still . .

Finally, it's just too long. 4 minutes is about 8 times longer than a commercial need be.
