If those people, before me, could do what THEY did to give me the American freedoms that I have had in my life; I MUST do EVERYTHING I can, to pass those same freedoms on to my children and grandchildren!
Inspirational, touching, and a reminder to us all that FREEDOM is not free but sacrifice and the Fire of the American Spirit will not go out when we come up against a determined foe.
It's FROM the soundtrack to the Darren Aronofsky flick "Requiem for a Dream" and written by Clint Mansell, but you've probably heard it before from one of a billion movie trailers, tv shows or ads.
Go study some other branches of economics. Try Von Mises, or Hyack. Foundation for Economic education or American Economic Institute. Keynes was flawed.
I'm aware of them. Still doesn't change the FACT that GDP = C + I + G + X.
If C and I are going negative, and X ain't going anywhere b/c our export markets are tanking worse than the US, then only G can make GDP go up.
This is high school algebra and does not require any knowledge of Hayak to prove.
Don't believe me? If you got a $10,000 tax cut today, would you spend all of it? Probably not. No one else would either. Normal stimulative practices simply cannot work in this environs.
And Algebra is what got us here. Everyone on Douche Bags has a degree from some Ivy League School, and are now putting what they learned to work. Ever hear of Dave Ramsey, cut back and pay your bills first. Geez this easy, let the rich make money, they create jobs, Government creates a mess. Where is Social Security, what about education, welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, and anything else they spend money on? In the tank, so spend more?? Just keep dumping money till it gets better? No
You still haven't justified how Obama has spent so much money! In Six Months he has spent more than all of his predecessors combined. How? What good does it do to stimulate our economy with false money? The reason that the credit failed is that we do not have anything to justify it. All the recovery has done is to prolong the problem we will have to face. We are living a dream that cannot be supported in reality!
Bush turned an $800b surplus into a $1.2t deficit. Of that $2t swing, 37% was due to the business cycle, 33% from Bush's tax cuts, 20% from Obama's extension of Bush's tax cuts and putting Bush's war on the books, 7% from O's Stimulus Package and 3% from O's other initiatives.
Bush refused to put his wars on the books, and refused to be honest with Americans about the cost. O has told the truth!
Google: "America's Sea of Red Ink Was Years in the Making." Then come back and speak honestly.
I love the video. Every picture tells a story of who we are as a Nation!! My favorite picture is "Americans will Always fight for Liberty" I spoke with my Nephew who is 17 and asked him if he cared that Our Government was spending his money and putting him in Debt. He said "Wait, what?" Our Democracy and Freedom's are coming to an end. I love this Country and am proud to be an American!! 2010 - We will "CLEAN HOUSE" and put an end to this reckless spending!!! So it Begins
Hallelujah, Thank-You Jesus. Seeing that Normandy landing, got me thinking of all the great-uncles, and cousins I ( the family ) lost in WWII, the friends, and classmates I lost in Vietnam. Thank-you, SEMPER FI
I'm sorry, but it appears that most of these images are copyrighted.
Additionally, it is just a slideshow with a pan . . the actually skill level involved is nothing spectacular. The kids strength was in ordering the pictures, but still . .
Finally, it's just too long. 4 minutes is about 8 times longer than a commercial need be.
First rate... but the picture after the world trade center should be Bin Laden or the Saudie Royal Family. IRAQ had nothing to do with it, that was Bush under estimating the American people.
That was First Gulf War, where Saddam thought he could beat the American army and even made quotes saying how the Republican Guard would kill them all.

Where was your anger when Bush cut taxes for the wealthiest 5% of Americans, then borrowed $0.5 trillion from the Chinese to pay for it?
Did you make a video then?
TheOpinionGuy2 2 years ago
OMG!!! .5 trillion! Seriously, are you bringing that up? LOL!! Obama has spent more in six months than all of his predecessors combined!!!!

Obama has no choice b/c of Bush's mess.
GDP = Consumer Spending + Corporate Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports.
No consumer is going to spend money b/c they are scared of pending 20% unemployment.
Firms are laying off people left and right, so they have idol plants. They are not going to invest.
If these two are negative, then GDP will be negative WITHOUT massive spending. It's called "Keynesian Economics."
Govt Spending needs to replace these two or we are screwed.

People against the bank bailout don't understand how firms make payroll in America.
Receivables come in (usually 90 days). Payables (esp. payroll) needs to go out every month.
So firms typically get ongoing lines of credit to make payroll, so people can feed their families and pay for their kids' glasses.
The entire economy revolves around this system. When the credit markets froze, banks stopped giving credit to even good firms.
This rippled everywhere, destroying firms and jobs!
TheOpinionGuy2 2 years ago
Oh, and the bailout, started under Bush not Obama.
Paulson is not stupid and knew exactly what was happening. All credit was frozen and no one was lending to anyone.
There was no clear way for any bank to discern whether any other bank was still solvent.
Business people doing any transactions of any worth were scared to death. Had to do something.
That's why someone might take out an emergency home loan. That's what Bush and Obama had to do in the last nine months.

Did you read yet? Or are you still going to pretend that "Obama is spending more than all predecessors combined"?
Your claims are dishonest and do not reflect reality.

So that makes it OK. Two wrongs make a right?
