  • If you haven't heard or bought it yet NR put out a cd in 2011 that has the old Dawn Patrol feel, excellent album, it is called Somewhere In California, look for it on here, you will not be diaappointed

  • First album is the best.:)

  • Oh yeah!

  • Seem them this year with Journey and last year playing at concert series in Utica NY @ Saranac Brewery!

  • what a great time to grow up.

  • Wow!!! Takes me back to the great 80's

  • Remember when ONLY people with amazing vocals could record songs?

  • Did my Navy "A" school at Memphis, TN. back in 1987. Saw their concert @ Mud Island Amphitheatre with opening act The Outfield. Remember rushing the stage, and right before one of Jeff Watson's guitar solo, I reached out and grabbed one of his guitar strings! I held him captive for a moment, then let him go! We both were surprised at what had just happened, but we both let out a big smile before he went on to rip the stage to shreds! Awesome times that we'll never ever experience again!

  • True that X 10 to all who say this is real music.

  • i get to see the in concert in a few weeks. cant wait. these guys are great

  • Love Night Ranger!!

  • Great stuff, great music never dies. Glad i grew up with this stuff and not like todays shit. Lets not complain how old we are either, who cares!!!

  • @bassmanjoe Just be glad we grew up in the best time for music! They need to bring some of this back. :)

  • @cherbeardoll Indeed they do!!

  • where did we all go wrong , these times slipped a way , and boy is it ever along way back

  • 0 dislikes. Epic. All you kids just discovering this stuff, wondering what happened to musicians who can actually play an instrument and sing at the same time... welcome back to the 80s. BRING IT BACK!

  • @drewsroo and the 90's.

  • @drewsroo err..someone doesn't get it! look.....

  • night ranger always Im proud to say Im 44 and have all their albums even the new one SOMEWHERE IN CALIFORINA it sounds like part dawn patrol part midnight maddness night ranger like wine get better with age

  • @batman66ism Feel the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ranger rules!!

  • I WAS IN THE MILATERY IN FT LEWIS WA WHEN THIS SONG WAS OUT WITH ALOT OF GREAT ROCK BANDS AND MUSIC GOOD MEMORIES

  • I wonder how many of today's Lady Gaga / Justin Bieber / American Idol type "musicians" can play drums and sing at the same time?

  • @CE750 THEY COULD NEVER GET CLOSE MY FRIEND THANKS FOR THE COMMENT

  • im getting old , but i feel like i did then , just wiser ! , this was it !!!

  • Luv seein' the guys getting wild on da bus, but nothing is better than some of Jeff's guitar work! Plus, wasn't this just the other day? Ha!

  • old people check out " blind man " by buck stone cherry..there may be some hope rock wont be inherited by milo cyrus.. lol milo and the lot of untalented over payed-over played, wanna be's know wonder the french hate us look at what crap, ooops I mean rap we are exporting to the world.

  • Wait...a band who wrote their own music, played their own instruments and guy who could actually sing. Oh...must have been the 80's!!!

  • Ahh, the 80s! Gleaming tour buses, glossy overproduced power melodies, over the top anthems and fashion sense and hairstyles that would leave one in cardiac arrest.

  • I am seriously getting sad reading all these comments. Just want to go back.

  • One of my favorites by Night Ranger

  • it was an Intelavision... who is the extra guy at 1:54 sitting at the table between Alan and Kelly? my dad... my uncle owned the bus and my dad drove these guys around the states on their first tour... i met them all at the Cow Palace in SF when they opened for Sammy Hagar... they stole everything out of the bar at the CP and filled our garage with more beer and soda than any one family should have... they were all great guys... kelly wrote sister christian on the bus about his actual sister.

  • @SHARKSDAY1 Dude, I would kill for memories like this! Way To Go, cuz YOU LIVED IT!!!

  • What's goin on at 1:20 ?? it seems that Alan and Jeff are having fun with some kind of PLAYSTATION??????? haha yeah right, back in 1982!

  • oh yeah...just got tix to Toronto Aug 9th 2011....can not wait!!!!

  • i was 20 somthing when this song was new and hardly played on the radio , why ? was it so bad , I think this is probably there best , of that album ,or a close 2nd

  • @scoobydoabccba123

I was 23 and don't remember it getting airplay until after "Sister Christian" and "When You Close Your Eyes" were released and hitting the charts two years later. I figured it was on that same album.

Sad the the media decides for us what we hear on the radio. Especially with all the junk out there today.

  • Kelly Keagy has a top voice :P

  • DIOSES ENTRE DIOSES!!!

  • I saw them when i was 15 or 16,they opened for Starship and blew them away.I love this band. One of the best bands to come out of the 80's and still going strong.

  • First time I saw them perform was back in 83. So cool that they are all just as nice as they were back then. Can't wait to go see them next weekend!

  • the lyrics say it all....I remember a girl as a school boy......

  • Cool guitar riff.

  • I once heard somebody describe the music of Nightranger as "Stainless Steel" rock! Sounds good to me!

  • Night Ranger is the Beattles of the 80's. Beautiful harmony's, two singers, SICK GUITAR PARTS, and sweeping, emotional lyrics!

  • Sad thing is this music can never be re-created.

There are tons of bands trying to be/sound 80's and they just fail so badly.

Like Crashdiet, they try to be 80's... but it just doesn't have that feel to it, it sounds too modern.

Despite that 80's will always live on!

  • some one moderated me ! my comment was heart felt and sweat

  • Night Ranger opened up for Tesla in Sacramento in the late eighties when I lived there. The Concert was awesome!!! Why can't we go back? Lets bring the bands back that wrote, performed and recorded their OWN music! Sample this you Hip Hop Cheaters!

  • @travsam767 No, Shhhhh! They will. That's what we DON'T want. Besides, it not hip hop...it's "SHIT SLOP"! Same as (C)RAP!!

  • @yucchhiiowwee Sorry, my mistake. The tide is changing and the real people never left the beach.

  • @travsam767 Lol, it's cool. Just had to give ya a hard time...Lol. take care.

  • Haven't heard this tune in a long time. Awesome. Night Ranger is a great rock band.

  • Great, great memories to a classic awesome song. Thanks for the post. I wish music like this would come back in style. I miss the 80's. Peace.

  • When Night Ranger came to Roanoke Va. back about 83-84 my friends went and saw their show. After the show they went around back and saw the guys getting on their tour bus and yelled at them. NR came over and invited them onto the bus for a few minutes. One of my friends still has a steel Jeff Watson pick that he gave them.

  • What is that strange device he's holding at 0:25 seconds?? ;-)

  • @lungfixer

    Hahahahaha! LOL!

    What about that Polaroid camera?

  • @lungfixer I miss my first tape player with two headphone jacks! Wonder if I still have it in a box somewhere? Back to the 80's in a heartbeat if i could . . .

  • BRING BACK THE 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The greatest band ever!

  • I saw these guys in the summer of 1984 at Grad Night. They were great then, and still today.

  • Night Ranger......Powerful strong memories....So much talent in this band....The drummer sings some of the best songs. This one, Sister Christian Goodbye, ...................great songs. !!!

  • On my top 3 favs for sure!!

  • What a great song, I think of a way I can get back........What do you see when you look in the mirror, I see a face in the past it's so clear. I always think about how to get back to where I was a few years back. Makes me so sentimental when I listen to this song.

  • Dawn Patrol, great album!! "Sing me away" has sth magical in itself. Great track, my fav on this cd...

  • I'm growing my mullet back!! I'm proud to say I was cruzin to Night Ranger in High School! Kids today have no clue what real music is!

  • @FALCON21301

Clueless they most definitely are. So true....the idea of good music is foreign to them.

  • @FALCON21301 amen to that, kids today wouldn't know good music if it punched them in the face.

  • @FALCON21301 that is spot on

  • @FALCON21301 I agree!! :-)

  • yeah, sister christian is such a kara-oke staple. i'm numb when it's sung, but i love that song regardless, but then there's SING ME AWAY.....glad it's not on kara-oke @ the bars for the masses...... keepin' it '80's CORE' perpetuates this era, this time, this genre, this time/moment/decade of celebration....

  • its kinda lame that when most ppl think of night ranger they think sister christian

  • this was my favorite song when i was a kid and To this day this song remains my favorite song of all time. thank you for posting.

  • crazy good song that represents the height of 80's good vocals, words, guitar, and a more innocent time that cant be duplicated.

  • I love Night Ranger one of the best bands from the 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happen to good

bands like this? Love you guys!!!!!!

  • Night ranger was the soundtrack to my high school days. House parties, beach bonfires, keggars, dances, drive-in movies. Oh the good old days.

  • oh God the memories.........

  • Awesome !!! Beginning sounds a little bit like Ozzy

  • This is one of the best songs ever released by this legendary rock band. You just got to love it. I know I do.

  • very nice music.

  • Geeked up because Night Ranger is coming to Cincinnati this August to play the Taste of Blue Ash Festival. People can say what they want about 80's music...but this band could flat out play. Dawn Patrol is one of 5 favorite albums of the entire decade.

  • Oh my..I was 18 and I remember right where I was at driving my 69 SS Chevelle...with a 396 bigblock...and this was playing on the radio...I was thinking about a girl that I was in love with, but I did not let here know how I felt...take me back there....I will let her know...

  • @DramaDon83 ..i dig that

  • I Love "Night Ranger"

  • Oh great song, from a great band!!!! brings back so many good memories

  • Wow! Haven't heard this since 1983. Reminds me of this girl I knew then.

  • ahhh such great memories, thanks for posting

  • now THIS is REAL music !

  • Largepecker was an awesome dude as well ....... his penis will be enshrined somewhere ...LOL

I here he was killed during a bank robbery in South Dakota ...His real name was Mark Rogers ....A red dye pack exploded in his face and he choked on his own vomit ....

His hero was John Bonham so I guess he died happy ....hehehe good shit huh ???

  • there wouldnt be a such thing as Damn Yankees without jack blades or Ted Nugent. Night Ranger and Damn Yankees kick some serious ass

  • And....Damn Yankees without Tommy Shaw??? PA~LEEEZ!! Night Ranger & Damn Yankees DO kick ass! Two of MY personal favorites!!

  • Jeff Watson form Sactown = good dude

    GR8 guitar player ..

Brad gillis? GR8 guitar player ..but ...an Asshole to the extreme .... cocky as a MF

No wonder Jeff left the band... FU Brad !!

  • @Badvideo25 He did play with Ozzy and all, guess I'd be a bit cocky too. Then again...

  • Cocky is one thing....but !!!!

His EGO is off the chart here !!!

He is awesome ...but he lacks.."CLASS"

You can't teach that !! Either you respect others or you don't.... Brad lacks that !!

Nuff Said here ... Peace !!

  • ive only heard 4 of their songs. which of were only ballads (but are still good though) but now that ive seen these im listenin to some more night ranger!!!

  • Jeff Watson used to be in this band until Brad turned into a stuck up asshole ...

And ya know what folks? He is still a conceited POS:::::::::::

  • @LARGEPECKER4HIRE Really? Is that what happened? I never knew that.

  • @LARGEPECKER4HIRE Sounds like this was personal experience....sry to hear that..You always hope that those with such talent practice an equal amount of humility.

  • I would love to see someone do a remake of this one.....making it a little edgier. Love this song.

  • jackie blades is on bass.. kelly giegie[spelt something like that] is singing

  • To clarify: the bassist's name is just Jack Blades... he sings lead on some of Night Ranger's other songs. Kelly Keagy sings lead vocals on this song; he's also the band's drummer .

  • Comment removed
