  • I use this track in my haunted house

  • epic. sounds like the evil beneath the surface of the new world order and it just gets louder all the time.

  • I remember when this album first came out, I had it playing on repeat on my desktop computer in my room. I dozed off and I woke up to this song playing in tears, I had this really disturbing and random dream about being inside this two-story cabin in the mountains. I was upstairs looking over the railing and seeing my deceased grandmother staring at me. I still can't decide if it was beautiful or horrifying. Maybe both.

  • mostly like it from 4.40 <3

  • I love the cat fight at the end

  • That a song and a picture can make such a profound statement without words is amazing. This is intense!

  • Raise your hand if you can fly while listening to this.

  • Sounds like comms between two separate spcl cvlztns

  • It's like... atomic bomb falling, explosion then aftermath.

  • and who said that nin are pop band go fuck your brother under the shower

  • I think it's about how some people are just born evil and do bad things simply because it's in their nature.

  • Look, NIN has been my fav for my entire adult life. I have great respect for his talent, his vision, his musicianship, his integrity, his willingness to push the envelope and not care what ANYONE thinks. That said, I did not enjoy this album as a whole. To me it blurred the line between music and ambient noise. Hate me if you will, but that is my opinion. If I came face to face with Trent he would want me to be honest. Nin is still my fav. Always has been, always will be.

  • @JimmyGunz905 politeness + honesty = better than most youtube users

  • This song is incredible. It just goes to show how Reznor can handle crazy fast music and slow, ambient music as well. Bravo.

  • If you like this song, listen to the soundtrack for the game Quake, it's composed by Reznor and many of the songs are in some way similar to this

  • random cats..

  • oh fuck i love this

  • My fiancee & I made love to this song... & our orgasms had never been better. There's just something about this song... LOVE IT.

  • @Somborac420 rofl i know what you mean.

  • @Somborac420 Corona Radiata are several protective layers surrounding ova or unfertilized egg cells, responsible with supplying the ova or egg cell with protein. The artwork for the song most probably represents an egg cell with the distinct corona radiata surrounding it. This might be a lead in to some sort of impregnation with the Demon Seed ^^

  • @p00ned0wned What the hell are you saying?

  • @Somborac420 i dont give a fuck, is what im trying to say :D

but no, i was just explaining the meaning of the songs title, thought it was coincidental how this song made your orgasm *awesome*, while the songs title is refering to the process of it. the life giving part, anyways.

  • @p00ned0wned than, what's that red line in the center? sperm? internal bleeding?

  • @somethingguy912 red line=sperm, the circle (along with its protective shell, representing the dashed lines)=the egg.

  • @p00ned0wned thats fucking mad...thats the frist thing i was thinking when i clicked this video.

  • @Somborac420 get ready to have a demon seed!

  • @somethingguy912 You are one disturbed individual. You need help.

  • Every day is exactly the same - I listen to NIN instrumentals, go sleep and get high without drugs......

  • sth written on the pic

  • I love it makes me feel like I'm floating in outerspace or something, away from all the problems and worries of life <3

  • I don't know about the rest of you...

but this one sounds more like Year Zero 2 than anything else on The Slip

maybe except Demon Seed, but TR practically gave us that one

  • am I the only one hearing cats fighting, starting at 7:06? Well anyways, I fucking love this.

  • I didn't know NIN did Dark Ambient. Wonderful music.

  • This is pure rape. For my senses.

  • i kept thinking my phone was ringing near the end! xD

  • this song needs a super-bass

otherwise, it would be difficult to recognize the real value of the song

  • Seriously not even joking you have to play this song in your car on super loud the the bass will be orgasmic....especially around 5:09 but you have to have speakers that can pick up on that super low bass my laptop speakers aren't enough!!! Two thumbs up for the awesome song!!! =)

  • I just understood the symbolism behind the concept art and the title of the song. Holy crap!

  • This shoulda been on Year Zero

  • Is it just me or if I'm playing Call of Duty and I have this song on I do 100 times better in Search and Destroy. My friends were like, "Holy Shit, your 16-0!" :)

  • this album kinda has the same feel 'a thousand suns' has, yakno? that feeling of sciencey, troubling talk about what will come of this world during a major apocalypse like nuclear war

  • @RetardedAndRandomTV A thousand suns is a disgrace to every linkin park fan. I can not believe they released that crap. It's not even good political music like NINs Year Zero and System Of A Down. It's just outright garbage sounding with garbage lyrics

  • @colonelsanta dude your response is so old i forgot all about what i said here. but now that i look at it i still feel the same way

  • Also, I apologize for the mass number of repeat comments...I did this all from my phone, which was clearly a bad idea.

  • @skateNappreciate you are an ignorant cunt.thank god for ignorant fucks like you, the youtube comment space would collapse without you. shut up retard

  • sounds like a john carpenter movie =]

  • if there would be a movie based on a book by McFadyen, this would be the perfect soundtrack.

  • well said NWG92 i agree

  • this is some deep stuff

  • something about this song is really cool. love it. :)

  • Sounds a bit like Silent Hill!!! :)

  • Metroid Prime for the win.

  • mypassionfruit we love you

  • this song makes me want to kill myself but its just awesome and i cant get enough of it

  • makes me think of aliens coming down to earth and harvesting humans for their organs and stuff. and we're just watching them come down doing nothing but be mesmerized.

  • @dogster129 you have no idea how close that is to what i thought of

  • Every time I hear this I always imagine some Cthulhu-like demon coming out of the dark to. Alien and demonic sounding.

  • @indecisiveassasin Really? To me it sounds so fallout. Seeing the world bleak and lifeless and realizing I'm finally alone.

  • @indecisiveassasin Yeah, it's so true...

  • this reminds me of silent hill games.

  • just looking at the corona radiata artwork and listening to the song is oddly satisfying (in my opinion. I don't know about the rest of you)

  • 1:12-2:40 doo dee doo doo....doo doo dee doo.

    Love that :D

  • Of course I limited my list a little, I'd also have to put MGMT, tool, radiohead....

  • @nursefrankenstein Please, please do not mention garbage like MGMT and Muse alongside Tool, Radiohead, and NIN. That being said, if you think that these bands are the epitome of "widely skilled genius" music today, you're really missing out.

  • @NWG92 Apples & oranges man. I like all of em, but its a travesty to hold them next to each other.

  • @NWG92

You should consider being more enlightened than you are; simply because a group or artist does not accentuate and agree with your musical or artistic sensibilities does not imply that they are garbage. By the same token any person from another musical preference would say the same about your musical or artistic loves.

It is only a philistine who would utterly deride a genre of music because they do not fit into a particular class or type. True artistic merit knows no category. Think.

  • @MarkWF5485 That's all fine and dandy, but nobody was writing off any genres of music here. You may think you're taking the higher ground by claiming that you can't call any music garbage, but in the end you're simply allowing for other generic cash-cow groups such as MGMT to crop up and be untouchable. I agree with your statement that "true artistic merit knows no category", but groups like MGMT and Muse are about as "artistic" as WalMart...and they all exist for the same reason, too.

  • @NWG92 I would have to disagree with you again.

MGMT is certainly unique artistically for their infusing of indie psychedelics with 80's electro and interjecting them into an ever more expansive musical landscape. Oracular Spectacular was hailed as both one of the best albums of the year as well as the decade.

Muse is equally unique for their wedding of classical orchestration with progressive rock in critically acclaimed albums like Origin of Symmetry and Absolution.

  • @NWG92 I hate pointless flame-wars on youtube, or anywhere else for that matter, so this will be the last thing I say here.

There's nothing I can or will say if and when you claim you don't like a musical group because you just don't enjoy their style. However, I do have a problem with you deriding unique and significant artists when you have no real grounds to do so--you’ve failed to explain exactly how either MGMT or Muse are generic and I don’t see how anyone could make such assumption.

  • Comment removed

  • @MarkWF5485 (...continued) And as for mixing classical orchestration and progressive rock (neither of which aptly describe Muse, to be honest)....that's been done for over 40 years by scores and scores of different groups. The Moody Blues, Yes, ELP, King Crimson, etc. would like to have a word for you if you're really crediting Muse with such an accomplishment. But Muse sound far less like any of them than they do as a watered down derivative of Radiohead (though not nearly as bad as Coldplay).

  • @NWG92 hey guys im just a simple youtube-er and i wanted 2 add 2 ur pointless argument....who the fuck cares!! stop tryin 2 prove eachothers points and be enjoy the damn song. peace.

  • the devil's music...truly evil...love it

  • this song makes me feel like i'm standing out in a field somewhere at night, and i'm really delirious, and i watch in awe as a flying saucer hovers above me, and a door on the bottom of the craft slowly opens (at 4:10) and then aliens start walking down the steps.... i could go on but i'll leave the rest up to your imagination =)

  • haha this song reminds me as if i were in a zombie movie...just driving through a zombie infested town....seeing my life flash before me....zombies hitting the car....seeing people get ripped apart by zombies....crazy shit lol love the song

  • haha... nice

  • Reminds me of Oddoworld, Abe's odysee

  • Reminds me of that one song in the WATCHMEN commercial.

  • Helps me sleep. :D

  • does every song on the album lead into the next one?

  • Pretty good. Reminds me of their older stuff (could've put this on TDS or The Fragile with ease!)

  • damn i can't find a download for this song

maybe i should just buy it...

  • You can download it for free on NIN's website~

  • thanks i didn't know

i was about to get cheaped out on amazon

  • i feel your pain, i went out and bought the album =/

i was probly guna do it anywhay tho

and u probably could of gotten better quality tracks as well.

    oh well!

  • damn u probably could of gotten better quality tracks too.

    that blows

  • I downloaded it for free as well.

And because Reznor has balls of steel (Google for the events that lead to the freely distributed album), I donated €15.

  • What a nice gesture of you!

    *claps*

  • Do you download it from the NIN site?!

I'm broke at the moment but I love this music and when I'll have some money I'm definetly going to donate.

I reckon it's necessary to finance good music.

  • Thank you for putting all this NIN stuff on Youtube, I subscribed and I just wanted to say thanks. ._.

  • No problem ^.~v

  • this is my opinion, but all his ablums should be HALF instrumentals, HALF songs with him singing

  • @skateNappreciate Well, since he isn't getting any better at remembering how to write NIN songs, he should really just stick with all instrumentals, like Ghosts. He's getting pretty good at that.

  • This audio is great.

  • I can't help thinking of Metroid when I listen to this song. ^^"

  • cha, metroid was the shit ^.^ lots of the ghosts remind me of that too

  • One of my favourite songs of "THE SLIP". GREAT!

  • Trent Reznor composes so very damn good instrumentals! Awesome!

  • instrumental with.. meow? i heard cats or sth like that. THAT is awesome!

  • This song is very relaxing, cool, and awesome to
