Revelation 18 is happening as we speak. There is more prophecy to be fulfilled in the very near future. You better get right with our creator and start living according to the word. I liked this film. I dislike the fandom, or at least thoseof them that reduce this art to nothing more than a simple message that they see as praise for something they personally believe.

When the scholar transcribes the entire Bible that is reminiscent of when it had to all be done by hand. When the scholar also said that they had a printing press up and running that was divine timing. The first printed book in Europe was the Bible.
Also the scholar being on Alcatraz an island was like a monastery, which kept all knowledge alive through the dark ages. Thus he kept knowledge, any kind, alive through the dark age of humanity in preparation of a new beginning.
Ironic isn't it? When the camera zooms in its publishing house is "Alcatraz Press" an amazing reference to what God can do with anything. And anybody.
You know people who didn't like the movie, you could at least have respect for Christianity the same way you have respect for Hinduism, Kabala, Buddhism etc. They're all religions and things people have a great deal of trust in and they practice. The wise ones don't run around preachin' about what they don't know. Fanatics belong to every kind of anything ever invented. Don't judge, just watch. If you think it is preachy, then quit watching. Clean up your own back yard.

eli (denzel) caught me by huge surprise when they zoomed in on his eyes and revealed he was blind, and after all he did/went thru to deliver that bible. also mila looked so hot during this whole movie especially with the submachine gun in that one action scene
@GreekBruh The point is the symbolism behind it. The idea that the Bible is freshly printed and never dies out goes hand and hand with what the rest of the movie is saying
