I hope her third album is like how she was during the Spirt era. I was just watching her Better In Time performance at the AMAs and her tone was so magical there. However, I didn't feel the same magic during the Echo era. I don't know, but I hope she gets better as an artist, because there's apart of me that wants to be a fan too. :-)

@DreamloverLambi1 Yeah, because the last time she tried to sing it like Mariah, she failed miserably. Considering that she lowered the key and condensed the range to point where I had to fast foward two-thirds of this performance just to be even remotely moved, it was a nice rendition and a personal best for Leona.
I don't think Leona is boring she's incredible and I hate to say it but i actually find lady gaga quite boring myself. I just don't feel gripped by her music or songs compared to a voice like Leonas but I guess I always loved to sing so I prefer her more.
She just needs another amazing song to toss her to the top of the charts again. A duet with a Hip Hop artist would make a great combo. She is truly amazing!!!

If you watch Leona singing let the sun shine, you see how her vibrato improved its much stronger. I disagree about the upper belts because I thinks that's improved too, its sounds more fuller and more haunting. You have to give her some credit.
This girl has the best voice on the planet at the moment, she deserves much more of a status. Adele, Alexandra etc are all very talented but Leona is on another level, its just a shame not everyone has the eye to see it.
@RoryDL2010 The problem with Leona for most people is that she's not that exciting or original compared to Adele and Alexandra, who have world-class voices and draw more interest. Personally, I think Leona is a really good singer, but her voice is not as interesting nor distinctive as her predecessors or her peers. Her only strong points are her mid-range belts and her head voice. Her low notes and high belts (Eb5 to G#5)are relatively weak and lacks resonance. I hope this is a good explanation.

@Stefano94x Right. First of you have to credit Leona because she has improved a lot since the xfactors days. Can I squeezes one more positive out of you! If you watch Leona singing let the sun shine, you see how her vibrato improved its much stronger. I disagree about the upper belts because I thinks that's improved too, its sounds more fuller and more haunting. You have to give her some credit.

This girl has the best voice on the planet at the moment, she deserves much more of a status. Adele, Alexandra etc are all very talented but Leona is on another level, its just a shame not everyone has the eye to see it.

@RoryDL2010 The problem with Leona for most people is that she's not that exciting or original compared to Adele and Alexandra, who have world-class voices and draw more interest. Personally, I think Leona is a really good singer, but her voice is not as interesting nor distinctive as her predecessors or her peers. Her only strong points are her mid-range belts and her head voice. Her low notes and high belts (Eb5 to G#5)are relatively weak and lacks resonance. I hope this is a good explanation.

@bryce20101996 Hating and providing constructive criticism are two different things. I've not said nor done anything personal or hateful against Leona. In fact, I really like her as a person. However, there's something missing from her as an artist, and I'm just trying to explain why there's indifference about someone who's a good vocalist. It's annoying when her fans overrate her to the point of delusion. Other than that, no hard feeling against Leona.

@bryce20101996 What videos are you talking about? I've only commented on four of her videos in the past year, and I don't recall saying the same exact thing over again. In fact, one of the videos, I posted positve feedback. Regardless, I'm entitled to my own opinions, and I will continue to state them whether you like it or not. Why would my opinion make some people sad? It's not like I'm attacking her character or her appearance, so there's no reason to get all dramatic and upset about it.

@bryce20101996 I'm a fan of music period, so I go on a lot of singers' video and give an opinion if I feel it's necessary to do so. Since you've seen me on almost every live performance (which is a lie), name the performances and the comments given from me. Again, attacking someone and critiquing are two very different things. I think you're being overly sensitive.

I thought Leona sounded PHENOMENAL. Why people only point the negative points never point the positives, HATERS. Like for example the ending was astonishing vocals. Haters are only jealous because here is a women who can actually sing! Stranger Moscow was even better vocally. :)

This acoustic version is actually really nice. I like it a lot. Her lower notes are incredibly weak and foggy though.

Leonas a kid, with a fantastic voice, and her version is so different to mariahs, no competition, they are both just simply out of this world... whether the low notes were apparently 'foggy' or not..

@briobrandon911 lady gaga is great. sh has a great voice, sings live well, plays instrument, composes and produces her own songs, takes control of her music. But I agree w u about others. Leona has a great voice and is a sweet girl etc but srsly that's all about her. I guess people now are more into artists who are in control of their music and who can project a personal character in their music. Adele is a good example. great voice, great music, in control and interesting personality.

It makes me angry just how ignored Leona Lewis is nowadays! Why was she so successful with her debut album, then underappreciated increasingly over the next few years?? I think her second album (and her concert last year) were fantastic, and I love 'Collide'.
