Congratulations to all those fighting for Transgender rights. I work for the International Network of People who Use Drugs (INPUD) and we are building partnerships with other key populations affected by HIV. I have just shared this video on my FaceBook as a way of making my constituency more aware of the needs and health barriers faced by the Transgender community. Thanks for putting this video out there. Mat Southwell

Its amazing.....but you people still don't get it. What you do behind closed doors is your business BUT don't shovel your "lifestyle" into a world that is mostly against your way of thinking and acting. You can fight this until the end of time BUT you will NEVER win. The battle has been going on since the dawn of mankind and your still LOSING. Wake up.
Still don't get it? Shove lifestyle in your face? How is that, can you explain how that is actually done? I've never shoved my genitals into anyones private space.
It's people like you that make it hard for someone like myself to feel comfortable and welcomed in my coming out process. Transitioning is hard enough without all the bashing. Ignorance breeds hatred. Instead of treating us like freaks, why not try getting to know some of us? You may be surprised at what you find. THANK YOU FTMA of LA for posting these videos.
There is no "battle". The technical term is "dysphoria" and it is an in-born condition which renders the individual at conflict with the external gender of their nativity. the reality, more than a mental "perception", is that the dysphoric individual must align the outer body with the inner reality of their being to achieve balance. It is not a "lifestyle" or emotional contrivance.
lawnmanmo1, things are changing and those who have been labeled "different" by close-minded people like you are finding more and more acceptance as the years go by. What you said here is exactly the kind of thing people were saying when black people were fighting for the same rights. And just like laws and attitudes toward black people have changed and continue to change for the better, the laws and attitudes toward the LGBT community is changing too. You're the one who needs to wake up.
I'm sorry, but why do people have to compare the black civil rights movement to EVERYTHING else, it doesn't make it more serious. yes they are both struggles but you really truely CAN NOT compare the two or force other people to sympathize with your particular struggle. I want EVRYONE to have equal rights but I'm not about to sit her and compare and contrast different movements.
Kamajiboy Maybe you need to understand whats going on between the lines rather then seeing things in a narrow way.I think you are blinded by 2 much bs . live your life and stop trying to play gods messenger ok. Maybe you need to be freed of all your bs and maybe someone needs to save your ass.Because your not very educated to understand that god made these people the way they are. This is not a choice by any means .Your very stupid you know that.
Due to the nature that being able to come out as transgender is a greater stigmata than coming out gay, it will be some time for American society at large to accept transgender in most communities.
