Men mostly say cough syrup, women mostly like it. I hate cough syrup in all forms.

It's similar to cherry, but remember, it's the flower, not the fruit so it's bound to be different.

I don't think I would be able to appreciate nice weather. Living in LA the weather always pretty good so no one makes a big deal about it. I think I might head to the Japanese market and see if they have any sakura flavored foods and beverages.

White Day is only Japanese, so far as I know. At least this version is. For starters, it's on Wikipedia. What I've heard of the original...of all the chocolate guys get, they're supposed to choose a single girl to give return chocolate to, and he gives her white chocolate instead of milk or dark like the girls give.

Now common gifts are white chocolate, marshmallows, etc. But it's not limited to one girl and usually the guy have to give something with 2x the value of the Valentine's chocolate.
