If you ever run across a book by the name WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS CRAZY I suggest you read it. It was written by a woman who found out her problems when she was in her late 30's and has some interesting chapters. I ordered mine from the internet because a friend of mine picked it up at a local bookstore but it was sold out by the time I found out about it,
one of the most interesting book finds i made was of a Victrola Record catalog from 1921...even had the owner's name, date of purchase, and address in Vallejo. i too frequent thrift shops and often wonder how the items landed there.
She has many people on yt that care about her. Some of them send her nice things in the mail. Does anyone do that for you? I think not. So, who is the loser here?
this is one of those videos which I'm really glad I watched. what an insight: you can go into the same barnes & noble store in any strip mall in the country: its the used bookstores which are unique, because they reflect what (dead) people read, and this varies regionally. One of the few things which still does vary regionally, anymore. that and the kudzu.

good for you for protecting that woman's privacy - not everybody would have known to do that.

Lol, our town is covered in kudzu.
My great great grandfather's name was Granville. I had never heard of that one before.
I don't like going to estate sales where someone has died. It makes me feel bad to be going through their things. :)

I saw the handwriting inside and I couldn't resist it. It wasn't until today that I realized the journal was so recent.

Interesting...I often see family bibles but hardly any personal diaries in the used bookstores...maybe it was for a reason...who knows....
