Holland in the 70's are the best team (probably along with Hungary of the 50's) in football history to have never won the World Cup. I really wanted them to take 2010 home, perhaps with not such as beautiful football as what was played by the Clockwork Orange in the 70's, but nonetheless they still deserved a cup for what this nation has offered to football over the years. @anky79 No hay selccion campeona que no haya sido goleada nunca, un claro ejemplo es la goleada que recibio alemania de rumania (5 a 1). Alemania tambien le gano 4 a cero a Inglaterra en el ultimo mundial, y asi podriamos seguir indefinidamente. Son partidos aislados. Lo que queda es el estilo de juego de esas selecciones, como por ejemplo el estilo de la naranja mecanica, que a todos nos gusta (sigo abajo porque esta cosa me corta lo que escribo si es muy largo)...

Es mas probable que la gran jugada salga contra un equipo de poco porte en el campeonato en uno de esos mas de 40 o 50 partidos, y no en los 7 partidos del mundial o de la copa America...

Holland is one of the most respected international teams in England because they play with a good style and don't cheat by nature (Argentina,Portugal etc.). That being said Robben is the exception, he is not respected in England at all. @yakamon123 Brasil es un grande tambien, y es el mas grande por historia de los mundiales, no se puede negar la verdad, el tema aca es entre el futbol americano y el europeo, hasta ahora llevamos la delantera, pero como pasa con muchos otros recursos europa nos esta "desangrando" de talentos, algo que podes ver en el futbol local y que hace muy dificil armar nuestras selecciones...

@anky79 No hay selccion campeona que no haya sido goleada nunca, un claro ejemplo es la goleada que recibio alemania de rumania (5 a 1). Alemania tambien le gano 4 a cero a Inglaterra en el ultimo mundial, y asi podriamos seguir indefinidamente. Son partidos aislados. Lo que queda es el estilo de juego de esas selecciones, como por ejemplo el estilo de la naranja mecanica, que a todos nos gusta (sigo abajo porque esta cosa me corta lo que escribo si es muy largo)...

A mi me gusta el estilo de juego tradicional del futbol brasileño y argentino, el jogo bonito, el tiki-tiki, no me gusta tanto la garra charrua, porque para ir a ver ese tipo de entrega desmedida mas vale me miro un triatlon o una pelea de lucha libre. @anky79 eso es un cliche, no vas a comparar la cantidad de partidos que tiene un jugador en su club, que seran como 40 o mas por temporada, con los 10 partidos que podra jugar con su selecion y sin entrenar con esos compañeros lo suficiente. Es mas probable que la gran jugada salga contra un equipo de poco porte en el campeonato en uno de esos mas de 40 o 50 partidos, y no en los 7 partidos del mundial o de la copa America...

Barcelona's trio, and the Dutch "masters of Milan" all were famous, much more than if they would have signed in England. They have won more titles with them than with any English teams. The only english team that I recognize as "amazing" is liverpool.

Holland is one of the most respected international teams in England because they play with a good style and don't cheat by nature (Argentina,Portugal etc.). That being said Robben is the exception, he is not respected in England at all. We don't mind being beaten so long as we are outplayed fairly, so for this reason Brazil & Holland are seen as the great nations, and those pesky Germans.

I think the abiliy for keeper to pick the ball anytime whilst in the box (like seen in this video) makes the gme much better. The players aren't piling up, trying to nab cheap goals, the game was played in the midfield, PERIOD.

The only team cheated in the 78 world cup was Brazil. The Peruvian team was bribed so that Argentina would play in the final and not Brazil. Argentina beat Holland fair and square in the final, no cheating. As a matter of fact Holland was 10cms away from winning it. I'm not Brazilian or Argentinean in case you are wondering.
As of the '86 cup, if you think Argentina only beat England because of the hand of of God then you must be a sore British loser. Argentina was the best team that world cup.
