Science cannot be debated, only refuted. Any scientist worth his or her salt will spend their life trying to refute established theories. Hence, the experiments.
Sure they could've done like any other belief group and just proclaimed everything they're suggesting definitely exists, but they know that such an argument would have zero weight in the real world. So what better way to prove they're right than to try their hardest to disprove the theory themselves? This is why science is unstoppable.
The big bang theory was created by a catholic as a scientific means of explaining the beginning of the universe. Creating anti matter or a miniature big bang doesn't disprove Creationist in any form. Creating antimatter or any matter from matter for that matter, requires "matter." It's entirely possible that they do have all the answers. It's equally probable that all of the answers that they have are wrong. I'd rather listen to the scientists. For example the expansion model which was observed directly and proven. Also the big bang nucleosynthesis - formation of early stable nuclei - which was proven by microwave background radiation. Science cannot be debated, only refuted. Any scientist worth his or her salt will spend their life trying to refute established theories. Hence, the experiments.
Sure they could've done like any other belief group and just proclaimed everything they're suggesting definitely exists, but they know that such an argument would have zero weight in the real world. So what better way to prove they're right than to try their hardest to disprove the theory themselves? This is why science is unstoppable.

If people were to believe in your God "just in case", don't you think that Him being all-powerful and all-knowing would figure out that you don't *really* have any faith in Him? They'd be screwed anyway. What happens if you're wrong about God being Christian? What if He's really Allah or Yaweh or Krishna or Shiva?

@kissmyarse1541 and yes it would make an impact on your life if scientist were right.....you wouldnt believe in god anymore..so how can you say if they proved it it wouldnt make a difference but if god were proved it would make a difference? both would make a difference..if god was proved everybody would believe in him and if he was disproved you are saying you would still worship him?

The "Big Bang" they call it. This they say,is where everything came from.Did you know there is no evidence that this did or even could hav happened?How can nothing become something?Plz tell me just how everything thats in this entire universe right now could once upon a time(as they tell us)hav been compressed into a tiny dot the size of fullstop on this page youre reading now?They tell the kids that this dot began to spin "of it's own accord" Y did it spin?they dont know obv. so how is it fact?

@robertokatsikas When scientists began looking at galaxies, they noticed that they were all moving away from each other at great speed. The whole universe is expanding. If you 'play this back' to its logical conclusion, at some point back in time everything was at the same single point in space. So, you take the evidence that you see, and use your mind and deductive reasoning, and come to a idea to explain what you see. Its not perfect. Its an attempt to explain the data. Its not fact, its theor

@robertokatsikas i think you should stop portraying your ignorance here and research the topic. After proposing the theory there were many models and predictions built around it. For example the expansion model which was observed directly and proven. Also the big bang nucleosynthesis - formation of early stable nuclei - which was proven by microwave background radiation. Just like with most people like you - plenty of evidence, you just dont want to see them.
