Thanks a lot, i really appreciate having people like you looking out my rights as an American citizen that I do take for granted. Thanks for the sacrifices you, your friends, and others have made to secure freedom.
Thank you Steven, and to all of your fellow soldiers, for putting your life on the line so I can live mine the way I choose. I started playing the National Anthem on my guitar because it was my small way of thanking my troops for fighting for me. This video, and others that Ive seen, make me wonder if I should be playing for deplanings of soldiers. Meanwhile, please listen to my Anthem here on youtube and know that I feel nothing but the patriotism that my US Troops afford me.
Once I got home - I wanted to, in the most possible way, just live my life.
I'm here again. I volunteered.
I believe: in my mission, in my team, and in everyone coming home.
Your words, sir, ... thank you ... often no reply means that his friends, his family, and maybe your words were the salve that healed a warriors wounds.
Dude, the reason I posted this, is I went on R&R leave, and it was EXACTLY like this for me. Not on a grand scale, but in every small way.
I went to Chi Chis in the Atlanta Airport and was treated like rock star. I got home to my parents in Boston, and the flight crew asked if others would let us disembark first off the plane (yep), they held our bags separate (at baggage claim), and all through the airport everyone was thanking me and shaking my hand. I was humbled.
No words are necessary, We all want to say Thank you for all that you do for us.
I don't think its corny at all, I honestly tear up everytime I see it. As I feal proud that so many others feal the same way I do about everything you all give for us. I hope eveyone of you gets this same homecoming.

Often we look around corners, even at home. Finding a friendly wave and face is our best healing.
Sincerely,
Steven
