  • obviously this movie is not based on real life, can the car nerds stop ranting about horse power now?

  • Movie.....This car was already slow in 1979 .....

  • @ikefemula

not a 600HP Supercharged car in 1979... Against a Suzuki...

  • @XxXTommo69 600 hp?? .....cha cha

  • I'm surprised nobody asked about TC's eyeballs popping out.

Why would a career biker whip off his goggles, doing over 120 mph?

  • In my point of view Max has stolen the black on black Pursuit Special. He's no longer a MFP officier. So he shouldn't use those annoying hooters in order to terrorize the Toecutter (evil guy though). So sad that Fifi and his bunch of guys didn't arrest him. Well, Mad Max 2 is to me a totally different film with a totally different Max. In the Road Warrior he's the hero, in the first one he was just a evil guy just like the guys he was fighting with.

  • @Doublespazer Totally wrong, he was hellbent on revenge, just like 99% of people would be if they had their family and best friend murdered by the same group of guys. In the Road Warrior he's just a bitter asshole whos only forced into helping the others, theres little or nothing heroic about him in the second film.

  • that toecutter was a 70s terrorist

  • you copied it off the TV???

  • Toecutter had a big lead, Toecutter would not get caught up.

Max could not finish it so quickly.

  • @ikefemula It's meant to be a reflection of how powerful and fast the "Last of the V8 Intercepters" actually is. No one can get away, thats the symbolism of it anyway.

  • @TheFlyingJerk

No! This is a movie ........

  • @ikefemula Retard, it's symbolism. Max is the best driver of the MFP, and he is in their best vehicle. No one escapes!!! THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!

  • that Weiand supercharger took him out

  • couldnt of caught the toecutters z1000 when it took off, max was still hobbling back 2 his car

  • A Kawasaki Z 1000 is faster than a Ford Falcon XB Coupe.

  • @Doublespazer Not with a blower and 600 hp.

  • @Doublespazer I don't think so... The Falcon GT XB with the 351ci Cleveland (5.8L and 300hp), original, can reach almost 240kph... Imagine an enhanced 600hp version with blower... The KZ1000s ('77 if i'm not wrong) of Toe Cutter, original, is 1.0L (1.015L precisely) with almost 85hp, 250 kilos of weight, and reach almost 210kph... For sure the bike of Toe Cutter was heavily enhanced and modified (same for Goose's bike), but she absolutely can't compete with the black Pursuit Special, for sure...

  • @MrAlucard222

I had myself a Kawasaki Z 1000 A1 (77) back in the late 80's with fairing and some special modifications and my "Kwaka" was reaching more than 210 Kph. The error that Toecutter did was according too much rights to Bubba Zanetti. A car is definately faster than a bike: Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini prove that. But, well, I got many Bikes ( a Kawasaki ZZ-R 1100) and I'm still there to say that Bikes should own cars ...

  • @MrAlucard222 sound about right to me good work

  • Respond to this video... seen this vis sooooo many times its a great one

  • Comment removed

  • @MrAlucard222 My Kz with a Fairing I've gotten it up to 223KPH, Mine's a LTD, not as modded as Toe Cutters or any of that. But yea in a straight line that 351 with a blower is going to catch the bike. NOW throw a Modern Sports bike like a BUSA in there, Well that's a different question :P.

  • only reason the car has any chance (power to weight ratio) is 'cus it's supercharged and the hiway is fairly straight.

  • @nipissing123 and its a movie

  • @nipissing123 Didn't look like the bike a had a chance in hell. Believe it or not, there are cars that can beat bikes.

  • Sudden stop at the end.

  • technically mad max did not not kill the toecutter. An 18 wheel tractor trailor did.

  • Why did his eyes bulge out so much? It looked like they were in the middle of popping out

  • i reckon a supercharged 351 would keep up with a bike

  • O.K so Max is right on Toe cutters ass, just before the head on with the semi.He was less than a car length away from the bike seconds before impact, So where did Max go when Toecutter became a KW hood ornament? Did he magically jump over the wreck or what?? Anybody else notice this blooper?

  • @Statimtek If you look closely right as TC hits the front of the semi you can see Max veering to the left of the road ( on the grass). His car looks like a flash but you can see it.

  • I think Mel Gibson at one time was a really good actor. Actually he probably still is, but all the drama that surrounds his life has taken all his thunder. I remember when I was a kid, if you knew mel was in a movie, you figured it was gonna be a good movie. Too bad. I own all three Mad Max movies. The third one sucks ass. Boo Tina Turner.

  • I know what the last thing that went through his mind - the trucks wheels.

  • 0:00 MFP MY FUCKING PENIS

  • mmmm speed

  • This scene is so badass. There's just no escape for Toe Cutter. Max is just so focused. You can see it in his eyes!

  • I fuckin love the v8! :D

  • Death on wheels

  • Eat your heart out Bullit!

  • your tele sucks

  • white line fever

  • @netlord - at the end of the scene, we see Max pull from the dirt back onto the road. You have to fill in with your mind that he went off the road - in full control of his car - slowed it down and pulled back onto the road while surveying Toecutter's guts. I'm with the other posters: 2 things killed Toecutter: 1.) The Kenworth and; 2.) Toecutter's eyes popping out of his head. Just a thought...

  • @kayleedee1

yeah, and why would he take his eye protection off...

  • POW!!!

  • as for the person here who said why did he hit the truck well it was coming down the middle of the road. I wonder what Max did to avoid the truck?

  • looks like there was some of kind of shield on the front of the truck, my guess is so they would not damage the front end. This was a very low budget movie. I read that they wanted to crash more cars but did not have the money to do it.

  • @whiskeyify alot of trucks out on the open highways of Australia have those "shields" over the grill and bumper, they are actually kangaroo gaurds

  • I see a problem here, Max was right on his tail. How did he stop with so much time?

  • @netlord if you watch closely, you can see Max veer off to the left (on the grass strip) and miss the semi right as TC plows into it.

  • You should see the damage, bronze.........metal damage.........brain damage!

  • Max didn'tkill the toe cutter, a flat nose Kenworth did! lol!

  • This film is an example of great stuns and why movies shouldnt rely so much on CGI!!!!

  • you try convincing the kids today that

    it's pointless

  • he's gonna feel that in the morning.

  • Best action movie ever made. Period. Try to say there's another actioner better than this

  • @Wildcock23 Die Hard

  • His eyes just BUG on out there! In the Road Warrior, a similar fate for the two captured guys who were tied to the front of Lord Humungus's car. They hit the tanker when Mel slams on the brake! I watched that one a couple times, it's really shot well

  • From Toe Cutter to Toe Splatter

  • @TomthatiscalledTom Better: Toe Jam!

  • george clooney rocks in this film

  • You mean Mel Gibson.....?

  • He had it coming. Good job Max!

  • such a tight car

  • 2 things. first, OUCH! and second the truck driver kills the toe cutter LOL

  • Max was 10 feet behind Toe. Then 2 sec's later

he is nowhere near the crash.

This always catches my attention when ever I see this seen

  • the car actually passes the truck on the left at impact ... 1:10 .... hard to see in this clip

  • you're seeing things , max's car is nowhere near the crash

  • it's there but you only see it for a split second ...... watch my clip ... "Last Scene For The Toecutter" ... and you'll see it better

  • great movie,perfect car

  • his car looks so clean and shinny there, i like how they make it look as though its been through hell by the time you get to the second film.

  • Actually in real life it really WAS put through hell!!! they didn't think of saving the car so they had it "junked" well thankfully the guy that they brought it to saved it sorta but by the time the 3rd movie rolled along there was pretty much nothing original left of it...so these repro's you see in many videos on here are more "movie" correct then the real movie car! there is a site someplace that has pictures of the original in its current state.

  • I have a original video version all the voices are different and the siren is not heard on maxs car

  • its because the origimal american version was dubbed over because they thought the aussie accents were to thick

  • You're right......they do sound a bit daft

  • the original is australian, you would have seen an american dubbed version, which is not the original.

  • LMAO

  • @Kelnar7 On a DVD there are both audio versions I believe, but I had trouble, I can only find my VHS copy presently

  • max's car kicks ass.

  • HA HA

  • How ironic, usually movies exaggerate stuff, yet in real life the bike would have probably exploded, but didn't in the movie/

  • Lol true.

Also notice the bull bar on the front of the truck is covered by a bit of metal with paint on it.

Apparently the owner didn't want the truck getting damaged from the collision.

  • I wonder what the truck driver was hauling?

  • He was hauling ass.

  • ROTFLMAO

  • note the fake front end of the truck when toecutter hits him :D

  • lol thx for that! hahaha you have good attention for detail :P

  • can't think of a better way to destroy a thug bikie, good on you Max!!!

  • R.I.P TOE CUTTER

  • Maybe he died because his eyes popped out of his head!

  • @thegreeninferno "What a wonderful philosophy you have." haha

  • @thegreeninferno or maybe he died from having a head on collision with a truck!

  • @orlyf00l Nah, that seems a bit unlikely!

  • @thegreeninferno Lol, I notices they did that with a lot of character's death xD

  • he rather fainted

  • I'd like to get a Ford Falcon XB with a 351ci V8 engine. Go Mad Max on the Cops.

  • Shame they don't make deaths like those anymore

  • Mad Max Kills the Toe Cutter? Mad Max was driving the truck?

  • well he was aiming to kill the toecutter and by chasing like he did it did result in toecutters death

  • Mad Max WAS the Toe Cutter.

  • it is me

  • yes max mad soso killer

  • yes

    Toe Cutter was the boss

  • saw this movie 25+ times, best movie ever for me

  • Im confused toe cutter was the leader of the gang?

  • Night Rider was their leader. After he gets wasted Toe Cutter became leader.

    Night Rider was badass.

  • i dont think so.. i mean when i saw the movie i was let down when i saw him. i was hoping for a badass like toe cutter to be night rider but instead he was just some inbred hick with his girlfriend.....

completely unworthy of the title i think

  • 1:20 he looks like George Bush

  • He just killed the terrist.

  • typical lorry driver, needs the whole road, and then he will block it while he unloads his sofas, then he will go fuck a one legged hooker lol

  • The guy on that bike is Fu%$^in moving.

  • i wouldn't mind a kawasaki z1000r for a second bike

  • I like the movie...the only part, to this day, that still bothers me is his eyes almost removing themselves entirely from his face the moment before he dies.

  • yea forgotten about that bit, its been YEARS that ive seen the movie, I remember this, long with the 2nd one, being very well done, its a shame that we Australian dont make them like this any more

  • You're all drunk off snake venom.

  • One day i will own a KZ1000 just like the Toe Cutters. I always wonder if the Toe Cutter ever had a chance if he hadn't hit that truck!

  • One of the best examples of crushing justice in any film ever made. Brutal justice, very.

  • yes. and you see such brutal justices in many of Mel Gibson's movies. like Payback, Lethal Weapon

  • I like Toe Cutter's bike

  • have to love the complete lack of expression on Max's face- he's totally burned out

  • how toe cutter hates guns.

  • classic scene

  • did the toe cutter used to be friends with max

  • is this the first mad max? and is that the pursuit special?

  • yes and yes

  • 6th

  • Why do his eyes bug out like that? The same thing happened with the Night Rider.

  • it's the same scene

  • When Aussies are about to die a horrific death, this is what we do, it's like a local custom, bulge out your eyes and you go to heaven.

Don't you guys have something like that?

  • Well, it's a ninja tradition to give a loud war cry and explode while dying. Not really the same thing but still characteristic.
