  • oh fuck, smoke jaguar repulsion. I remember I used to get this clear image of an indian dancing around a fire to this song when i was kid

  • That screen shot on "big assed mech" reminds of playing "Instant Action" with a destroy objective, and it would just be a building in the middle of nowhere, "Smoke Jaquar Repulsion" really brings me back, reminds me of the second or third mission, in which you had to destroy the third floor of that building

  • Ummm layoff the input slider, I feel like punching you for playing DJ hero with this track....Ooo you can move a slider back and forth....So can your mom.

  • this a good old game :] my fav track is 7:00

  • This soundtrack was from the Mechwarrior 2: mercenaries titanium trilogy. Activision had to cut down all the tracks to 1 minute because they ran out of disk space sucks.

I wish mp3 technology was developed during that time so they could compress the music.

  • Gah, you should have done the entire tracks! Cutting off the Smoke Jaguar Repulsion & Interlude at Luthien is a massive mistake in this vid.

  • They come that way on the disc. If you want the whole tracks you have to record them ingame and deal with the other sounds that get in the way.

  • @frogjedi4

I've got the whole songs off the disk... : /

  • Big assed mech, man that one brings me back...

  • Interlude at Lieu...uh...whatever at 7:00 - was used in the preview for this game on the Hyperblade disc. Also, my favourite track.

  • @Barcode711 Seconded. I remembered this tune as my favorite even after not playing it for years. Loved when it came on during a mission.

  • Who is the actual artist of these songs?

  • On the discs it says different things. On the original it just says various artists. But on the titanium edition it says activision. I really don't know for sure.

  • I believe the composer is Jeehun Hwang.

  • On wikipedia (You know how reliable that is) it says the composer is Lou Wang but it could be wrong.

  • i think he just did mechwarrior 2 (original), not merc.

  • For mercs it says Lou Wang and for MW2 it just says Activision and various artists.

  • I found many years ago that one of these songs (probably this from 3min) was made by Plaid and was realesed on Plaid's album . I forgot it's name.

I think other songs was made by diffrent artists too.

  • Awesome! Haven't heard these tracks in a long time. Can't wait for Ghost Bear's Legacy.
