Mongoose bikes suck as much as GT and Felt bikes do.. you say they're good cheap bikes for beginners that's BS you need a light bike if you're a beginner or otherwise you won't learn any tricks.. after a while after you get the hang of it you can get stronger,heavier bikes that can take abuse from tricks like backflips,clearing big gaps etc. but if you're a beginner you defly need a light bike i'd rather get a light old bike rather than a new,heavy one.

@TheDailyChatter dude eastern still sucks. i had an ace of spaceds, it snaped at the head tube, my friend had a grim reaper and that had two cracks in it before he decided to get a new frame. there forks also suck, the sprockets im not even going to talk about, they last no longer then a month, there parts suck. if you ride havy in the streets and do grinds and hudge gaps and big drops you would know what i mean. lol
