  • That is some great coralline algae! How long did that take to grow

  • What's the name of the fan you have in there? Nice tank!

  • After 8 years of fresh water tropical tanks I decided to take on salt water! This tank is an awesome nano and shows how artistic the hobby can be. 10 gallons or 75, each is your design, your art. Love the tank bro, very well done.

  • Great very well kept

  • WOW!! Nice,Nice.....very beautiful action!! GZ

  • im gonna start a 20g saltwater tank any tips (this is my 1st saltwater tank)

  • hey im thinking about starting up a salt water tank any tips?

  • @shakeymysnakey lion fish and clown fish dont go good together

  • thats way bigger than 10g

  • i have a 20 gallon tall tank and i want to convert it to salt water. im on a limited budget. how much does it cost to get a tank going. what do you HAVE to have. i love the colors of salt water but cichlids are to aggressive and still dont give the right colors

  • nice tank, but why the WHITE BOY music......

  • I heard smaller tanks like this are more difficult to maintain and you really have to stay on top of them do you find that to be true? And are you using a sump?

  • nice tank horrid taste of music

  • tank is beautiful. what is the main, purple rock in the center called and where can i buy one that size? i can't seem to find anything like that in store or online.

  • lovely

  • Love the music

  • awful taste in the music. Beautiful tank though!

  • crap music

  • how did u et it up.im tying to set on up for my dorm

  • What are you using for lighting? MH or T5's? Wanting to light my 10 to keep both SPS and softies.

  • How many pounds of live rock, sand, and what kind of lighting please and thankyou

  • I have a MK4 supra i will show a vid as soon as i install my new turbo from turbonetics i also have a reef check it out

  • Sweet nano! My 12g is getting crowded, probably only 6g water in there, hah. By the way, if your name means you drive a mk1 rabbit you get double thumbs up.

  • I used to drive an mk1, that's exactly what it means. I rebuilt it from the ground up and then got hit by a semi. My Rabbit lost.

  • Ouch... Sorry to hear that. At least it was only the Rabbit that lost.

  • I'm really getting sick of youtube with their forcing users to change their songs as background music.

  • that music killed it though...fuck man maybe something more calming next time???

  • lol, they made me change it, it was Greenday - Time of Your Life.

  • uhmm, still not calming. :)

  • Awesome job! I am thinking about getting a small 12g nano and giving this a try. I am a little intimidated by it all but your tank looks so beautiful and peaceful.

  • that looks a lot bigger than 10 gallons

  • @Brandono95 ya it does

  • sweet..good job

  • I honestly can't remember how much everything was now. It's been a good long while since I put it all together. I'd wager somewhere around a thousand was invested into the tank, including rock, fish, lights, mushrooms, etc. Hell, maybe more than that. I don't think I want to know!

  • sweet

  • thats a beautiful tank you have!!! so whats the secret on growing your coralline algae? what kind of supplements do you use calcium, etc...

  • My secret is that I hand picked my rock. :)

  • How hard would it be for you to send me scrapings of that Coroline algea, I bought liverock but green algea suffocated it out

  • Get some two-part buffer and make sure you add i regularly.

  • I like ur tank a lot, is that a bubble tip anenome? I'm gonna try to do a clown anemone in a 16 gal, and looking for 2 species that are not too expensive, Im kinda on a budget :( for now

  • amazing tank!

  • that's only 10gallons?

  • Yep, just think about the saying "cameras add ten pounds". I guess it adds a couple gallons too.

  • bunches of coraline

  • updates?? i love this

  • Wonderful little tank.

  • its in special fish medicine. if u put the medicine in when invertebrates are present, it will kill them. thats how the medicine works, it kills the invertebrate ich cysts off the fish. hence copper in a liquid form.

  • nice like mine!!!!!!

  • do u use a skimmer?

  • I already have a peppermint and it is doing great. It is the skunks that are a problem. First two died within two weeks. Third one lived for quit awhile almost 6 months. then it died mysteriousl (along with my recent pepperming shrimp. i think i was un knowingly adding copper (yikes!). So got another skunk and it died in less than 2 days. I'm thinking i'm not acclimating enough or that the shrimp i am getting are not healthy.

  • yeah copper is deadly to a reef tank,

fish can handle it but inverts and corals die from it. it happens to when people buy used tanks. sometimes the copper can be in the silicone . peppermints are great i have them i hand feed them everyonce in a while. ever try fire shrimps? the really nice colored red ones?

  • pom poms! :) pepermints, skunks and fires all grow really big lol kinda big for a 10 gal. btw, is it just me, or does this not look like a 10. it kinda looks more like a 15

  • well peppermitns stay pretty tiny i had 2 in a 15 till i got a bigger tank. they havent grown much at all and i feed them every other day

pompoms crabs? theres no pompom shrmps they have sexy shrimsp though

  • yes pom pom crabs. the ones with the anemones. they're awesome. i want some porcelain crabs, pom pom crabs and possibly sexy shrimp :D

  • Yes i have seen those. I like the skunks b/c their antennas get so long, i don't know maybe one day i'll try a fire shrimp. I was never attracted to them tho for some reason....:)

  • how do you keep the shrimp alive?..add any supplements? mine keep dying and i'm trying to fix the problem, any advice/tips appreciated!!

  • first off what kind of shirmp do you want to keep? peppermint, cleaner, harlequin etc

  • i am going to try again and get one with a nice red color and bigger, and acclimate VERY slow. Again my pepperming is doing GREAT...but i heard peppermints are more hardy than skunks.

  • nice anemones! Check out mine " ryans's reef video"

  • Hey just wondering if you had a sump at all, or if this was all just going through the hanging filter. I'm about to start my first marine tank (20 gal) where can I get decent / cheap live rock? The place by me is like 8$ a pound.

  • awesome tank man im so jelous. Im thinking about setting up a small salt water tank just to try and this video really encouraged me to give it a whirl!

  • You sir, are wrong on so many levels. It's a 10g. I promise you that. Like I said in the past. Look at the scale of the pump, the heater, etc. Tank is 20" by 10" by 12", approx. I just measured to ease your mind. I don't know how you can measure anything off a full screen video as monitors are different sizes and are in no way are relevant to real world measurements. Thanks for the comment.

  • owned..

  • How do you get the live rock to be that purple color?

  • part a and b of reef supplements will do it and proper lighting

  • too much flow...

  • for some reason it seems like a 20 not a ten...

  • this is a beautiful tank

  • Does anyone know whether it is possible to put a protein skimmer a 10 gallon aquarium?

  • you can but you probably dont need it unless you have a very heavy bioload, most people just manage 10 gallons with periodic water changes. to be honest i very rarely changed the water in my ten gallon and it was just fine. ALSO! a lot of the nano skimmer products are just a waste of your money (do NOT purchase the "Fission Nano Skimmer" its AWFUL) so if you decide to go the skimmer route id advise saving up to get a real skimmer. you should also consider where/ how you are going to install it.

  • r u using a protein skimmer?

  • very nice tank. well done for the work you have put in. I'm a reefie to and would like to share a video of my tank with others. see it on here at: "marek's reef aquarium" :-)))

  • whas that rock wiff the noodles coming out called?

  • They were babies.

  • Can you tell me how to build a sump fish tank please becuase I need one for my 20 gallon nano fish tank? is it okay if I can put a biocube skimmer in the 10 gallon sump fish tank? what kind of equipment are you using for your sump fish tank? how many gallon is your sump fish tank? can you tell me what is a weir for the sump fish tank please thanks?

  • nice tank..i love this song!!

  • how is your L.R. purple it looks great!

  • It is called coralline algea And most the time it has to either be on your live rock already or physicaly brought in to your tank.

  • This.

  • probly a flow-over filter.

  • This.

  • ?...

  • nice little tank, i have a freshwater 10 gallon and 16 as well. great job landscaping as well =^D

  • aquascaping actually lol

  • Great tank looks way bigger than a 10gl. Godd aquascaping.

  • I just acquired a 24g used tank that has been established for 3 years. I would very much like to have the same fish as you do. Is this possible or is my tank too small.

BTW it came with a Humu & a Snow flake eel.

I would love to hear your recommendation.

  • sorry but your 2 fish (trigger and eel) are WAY too big for a 24 gallon.. If you had them in a 55 gallon tank I'd say the same thing. :-( You should trade them in and get some really cool smaller fish

  • Wow, I didn't know you could have all that in a 10g, nice!

  • very nice tank! i saw the rotating powerhead today n i thought it would be a cool thing to have...any lights/skimmers/powerheads you recommend for a FOWLR or reef? thanks! 5/5

  • wow nice tank i have a video of mine it kinda sucks the video and its not teef its about 8 months old keep up the good work ure tanks awsome wish mine was like that how much live rock u got?

  • i like ur tank its cute =)

i have that rotating power head.. its been bout 3 years and now it stops spinning hehehhehe

  • wonderful tank, if possible can you describe/list the equipment in this setup?

  • very nice, is that live rock, im new at this

  • what kind of lighting do you have?

  • cool tank

  • oh hey anyone can tell me what song is this?

    its nice =D

  • Green Day - Time of your life

  • i love the rock, very purple lots of coraline, how old is this setup?

  • very cool tank,i have a 20 gallon, just starting no coral yetawesome tank

  • ok i had a tank for lik 2 weks now and i put in no elements except salt. I hae tons of polyps and an xenia that does not pulse. If you want yours to pulse it has to be excatly right in everything and you have to have iodine in the tank. O and also your current is to strong for the xenia if you want it to pulse you should ut it in a spot hat is very calm.

  • hahaha ryan you are right badchunkk dosent know shit all! hahaha

  • ya, I know, Im just sayingthat if you really wanted to have a yellow tang in a 20, than go ahead, but it wont live as long, but im planning on upgrading in a couple of years, so, or when I get a job, oh, by the way, that is what I ment by adapting to its enviroment, stunted growth, and some sharks dont nedd to travel in a strait line, how do you thing some pet stores have 6 feet sharks in thier show tank, hmmmmm

  • what kind of supplements do you use?

    your rock looks extremely healthy.

    your coral do to.

    =]

  • hey, umm, if you put trace ellements+calcium+tricium, your corals will be happy, plus feed them brine or some type of coral food, look up what different corals need, and for the rock, wieght for a couple of mounths, it will turn almost all purple

  • I think you've been chirped enough, get out of here.

  • Well first of all you can take it easy. BadCunuk doesnt know shit so he can cram it. FYI it was me that made the "great white in 55 gallon" JOKE. It was to embelish the poor rule Badcanuk came up with.

    Done.

  • can I use a aqua clear 150 and a max jet 400 and the powerhead that I am using in my tank together with 96 watts it is 20 inch in my fish tank is it fine for the mushroom and corals in a 10 gallon fish tank?

  • ya bro, the more turned water in an hour, the better, same or the tank, hope it all works out

  • This kid knows what ehs talking about. However according to BadCanuks logic i can keep a Great White in a 55 gal as long as I get it small. Pfffft.

  • ha ha ha, very funny, im talking aqarium fish

    duh,

a great whit is already 2 feet when born

  • Well i guess you knew it all right when you were bornn

  • what are you saying "Well i guess you knew it all right when you were bornn"

  • hey, did you know if you have a 20 gal, you can fit 2 clowns and a yellow tand, just make sure you put the tang in when he is small and he will adapt to his space and then you can put what ever urchins you want except the long spined, I might only be 14 but i know almost eveything about fish and Ive studied and kept fish for 5 years.

  • Lmfao. That has to be one of thye funniest comments I've ever read. You cannot put a Yellow Tang in a 20 gallon EVER even if its small. Judging by that you must know everything so I will leave you be.

  • buddy, im not even kidding, liste, all fish will adapt to thier enviroment, just like red tailed cat fish man, i have one, and they grow 5 feet! hes in a 100 gal and doing fine for two years

  • inadvertently you are just backing my arguement up. You arent understanding that two years isnt that long. Lets say it lives for five years. Sounds prettylong right? well if you had it in the right size tank it wouldve lived for 15 or 20! dont tell me to listen, im not the moron claiming you can keep yellow tangs in a 20 gallon. You think your right over everyone else just because you got a tang to live in a tiny tank, your wrong, and i and every other sensible aquarist would agree with me.

  • this is dechaine 249, i accidentaly posted the reply to your comment on my old account.

  • ya guess your right, becuase if you do put a fish, or any animal under stress, it will not maybe live aslong as it should., if one full grown discus nedd 10 gals which almost grows the same size as a yellow tang, saltwater needs double that space so 20 gal is the outcome, it is just my opinion that if you wanted to put yellow tang in a 20 gal, you could, but it would not be as healthy, so....

  • A discus needs about 50 gal, double that 100 gal for a yellow tang. That sounds about right.

  • it needs ten or else my discus are already done, they are in a 30 gal and there are only 2 of them

  • only 10g tank.. if I am the fish I will hate you, give me more room!

  • this is a nice wee tank, really bad music though lol.

    yeah i approve.

  • Do you have a anemones their? what kind of light are you using? and filter or powerhead?

  • aw wtf is that really a 10g

  • thats why u dont work at a saltwater LFS. you dummy!

  • yea you peice of shit, i have a 20 gallon with zoas, torch, brain, mushrooms, leather and gsp and sps and with a clown, firefish and its been thriving for a good year.

you fucking suck you cock sucking fagget.

wow then i guess you suck at your job,

  • pretty tank...

  • very nice tank, congratulations. On a personal note, i would probably prefer more fish, but i understand the fear of overcrowding the tank and making it too busy. Very nice tank, you did an excellent job.

  • wow, thats ridiculous. of course you can have tanks under 10 gallons, they just require certain fish. many clows, gobys, damsels and others can live completely healthy lives in a tank as small as five gallons.

  • love all the coraline alge

  • great nano!! come see my tank on a site called reefbuzz

  • Oh my gosh the coral is beautiful!

  • what kind of light you are using for a 10 gallon saltwaterfish tank?

  • can u use fresh water filter and heaters for salt water tanks or wud do i need???

  • yes u could.

  • That's me singing

  • how many cm is a 12 gallon tank?

  • are you kidding me!? maybe PETMARK dude is talking about dogs. LOL! i have 3 nano marine tanks (10G & below) that has been doin well for the last 3+yrs.

  • that looks bigger than 10 gallons.

  • then how do u explain tons of videos containing stocked 5! gallon reefs that are mature for 1+ years

  • i LOVE ur tank i hav a 2 gallon nano reef tank thats on my desk lol

  • you should really leard your shit about fish. its totally posible tokeep fish in a 10 gallon tank. the fish might not be happy but it will survive. go back to petsmart fag

  • HAHAHAHA..... THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE HEARD... You should see my 1.5Gallon Desk tank! and guess what ITS SALTWATER

  • Dude! are you nuts? I have seen very healthy long term 5 gallon set-ups!

  • dosent look like a ten gal

  • hey y do snails from the ocean not die from salt?msg me il nvr be on this video

  • roughly about 20-25lbs.. usually about one pound per gallon..

  • At least that much. You can go for more to fillup the aquarium better.

  • not a must, but to ensure proper water movement you should invest in one..

  • i really dont know cuz i still dont have a tank sorry

  • sorry could you send me a message about how to set a salt water tank pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

    thank's

  • if you are that interested in setting up a tank, check out websites like reefcentral dot com, do your research before you try anything.

  • thanks

  • Came like that, but some spread. It's losing some color. :(

  • is that really 10g?!?! it looks big!!

  • Yeah, it's a ten. Check out the size of the powerhead and the heater and you will be able to give it some proportion.

  • THAT is only ten gallons?!

  • Yep

  • i think il be the 1 to say it...

    THATS A BEASTLY TANK!

  • Yep, it's a 10g. Maybe it's just the camera angle or that the rock looks bigger because of the close up, the fish are small too. Look at the Maxi Jet head or heater, or something in relation to the size of the tank/glass.

  • hey are you using a external overflow?, if so what kind??. Nice tank man.

  • Not really, I have an Aqua Clear 500 Filter attached that has a little bit of live rock in it and some sand as a makeshift fuge and some added water/flow. Right now it's packed full of so much cheato I'm going to have to sell some back to the store or something. It's overflowing into my tank.

  • nice man, I really miss having a reef but i have like 0 time for one. Kinda makes me sad.

  • u dont need to make much time for it.. a simple water change twice a month. wow maybe 15 mins of ur time at most.. come on.. and feed it.. dont be fucken lazy

  • Ok first, If you keep a Reef tank, especially SPS/LPS tanks. Then you need to test the water regularly. Also if you don't have a reactor or dosing equipment, you have to manually dose supplements on top of the bi weekly water change. I have a daughter and two jobs, so i rarely have time to do anything. Coming from some one thats 28, that was a pretty sad comment.

  • I don't dose, I was using salifert tracesoft and salifert all in one but stopped. Water changes each weekend. No hard corals, just softies, otherwise I'd need more lighting. Reactor is not needed. Just ample live rock and some Cheato along with good flow and it works for many people.

  • I'm also talking about Nano sized tanks, large tanks do require more attention as far as equipment and possible dosing goes.

  • Na less is more, and you get less detritus.

  • Nice tank. I got a 30 long having some nasty algae problem. ;(

  • for all you people with marine questions, just go to reefcentral . com there are sooo many nice people on that forum that are willing to help you out i'v been on it for a wile and have learned more then i would ever think i would. dont relie on you tube. do yourself a favor and make an account there its free.

  • I agree, only I'd rather use nano-reef,com, I use both, but nano-reef is better in my humble opinion.

  • hi brilliant tank I'm setting up a ten gal marine tank for a pair of clowns and some invertabrates what lighting and protien skimmer would you recommend?
