i dont think they should be compared, very different, plus the fact nadia's performances were executed so long ago... i dont think the gymnastics now should be compared in that way to how gymnastics were in the old times...

nastia was great...

however the true queen of gymnastics of all times, will always be Nadia Comaneci, she beyond 10, and not just in one event but in several, the consistenci made her the queen of this beautiful sport

Nastia you're the best. Beating the odds and your competition and showed everyone what perfection looks like. Cool commercial, Nastia was so young then. Of cource Nadia took a hop on her landing which today will be a deduction among other things that judges seem to find in today's gymnastic. Nastia is a perfect 10 also. difficulty, dancing, skills, mental toughness beauty and grace and execution. Woohoo!! best olympic all around finals ever!!!

I think people tend to make a mistake by comparing talent from yesteryear and today. Nadia for example was the very best at what she did because she worked the hardest and was prepared to do whatever it took to be the best. That attitude wouldn't be any different if she was competing today. That's why she'd still be the best.

I also think Nadia Comaneci was a gymnast of historic format. Sure, Nastia Liukin is really good, but she misses "the last perfection" that Nadia had in the seventies.
