I don't see why political analysts are criticizing Obama for his weakness in foreign policy. He made such an impression in Germany and United Kingdom. Americans, vote for Barack Obama '08 if you want to minimize emphasis on the Middle East, improve international relations, and greatly improve the social problems plaguing your society today (education, housing, etc) don't guaratee taxation though. If you want to stay in Iraq, vote for McCain.
It's probably a little of both, actually... but it's just because the first thing we think of when someone say "UK" is "England" or "Great Britain". Not that the rest are left out but you just aren't well known to us..
People always argue that he's inexperienced!Well than I say that Experienced must equal FAIL lol.because people with experience seem to do horrible for regular Joe and Jane doe of America.

Imagine: a head of state who makes everyone in the world feel good.
Watching the evening news without having to grit my teeth. Please God, make it happen.
This year, everybody and his mother has got to get out and vote. Especially in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania since those states may decide the election.
After 8 years of global war, death, destruction, despair & economic crises from "expert leaders" in the white house, the world is thirsty for young bright leader & diplomat, like Senator Obama, who could ressurect human creed from annhilation. Any wonder why America & the world is cheering & rooting for little known, first time, young senator over life time "expert politians"?
This time around, this political storm wont be stopped by "life time self-serving expert politicians". VOTE FOR OBAMA.
Damn. I saw him coming out of number 10 and for a minute thought he was our new Prime Minister. Oh well, Gordon will have to do until Alistair Darling screws up our economy and decides he best have a crack at PM instead. lol
Took the words right out of my mouth. We'll have to have second best with Obama as president of the US instead.
I think Obama has to continue to make the right noises on Iraq, for purely practical and political reasons - no one can make it go away, and he shouldn't want to polarise voters towards McCain.
To me voting in Obama is a no-brainer. If Americans pass up this opportunity to have an impressive leader, the rest of us will be really shaking our heads.
before; people was saying shit to him. and later; when they knew for sure that he's becoming the president; the same people changed 180 degree. those people r so damn cowards and hypocrites. peace to all.
As a Brit, I remain sceptical about Obama -- not enough 'change' when it comes to foreign policy.
Still, you Americans would have to be absolutely moronic not to vote him in over someone like McCain, who is clearly following too much of the Bush programme. While he's obviously a little more liberal, he's already started veering right!
You have a reputation to rebuild in the world, and it begins with voting in an intelligent, diplomatic President like Obama.
These are the same people who voted Bush in to office TWICE. I figured the America people would have known better then too. You never know what people are really thinking.
I am an American. I agree with what you said. Please remember that our current President has not followed the will of the American people. Please do not judge us by his actions.
I already know that this comment will get deleted by the people who moderate this account simply because it's not an "All Hail King Obama" comment... but I'm perplexed by the overwhelming support of Europeans for Obama. I was in Europe in June and I witnessed the European media completely overlook Senator McCain's accomplishments. The man has been in Congress for 20 plus years and Obama has been there for 3. Obama needs more experience and then he will be an asset to my country. Not now.

um, first of all, the fuel crisis will not blow over in a few years, gas prices will continue to increase unless production is increased or an alternate source is found. Now, since its going to be awhile before we can use something else, we should be increasing output.
Why should we increase output of a dead-end energy source when we could use those billions of dollars to increase the amount of energy obtained from wind/solar/geothermal/tidal and other renewable sources? Unfortunately you are wrong, the price of oil will never decline and if so this will be a temporary artificial deflation. Oil output peaked in 2006 (according to the Hubbert Peak theory), how can the prices go down if our population/demand is increasing while output is decreasing?
Obama has the power to make people dream to see america turn back to be the light , the greatest democratic country , the guide of the world , this man is special ,in the media era he can conquest the heart of people and only in this manner is possible save the world ! with him europe and usa will be closer and it is better for everyone , for economy and military collaboration too
ha ha: Brown didn't come out to do a photo op with him! I've never seen a visitor to the PM standing alone outside 10 Downing Sreet: after all, the last time McCain was there he did.
Also notice that Obama has no clue what to say, he's just making up crap as he goes along. Hence the long 'ahhss' between every two words!
judging from Obama's recent vist of Europe. the world is ready to stop hating the US. the world wants Obama to be president not because hes 50% white, 50% Black. Because Hes the right person to do the job.
Y'know, the US is not a democracy, and the electoral college just might give move weight to global opinion than that of their domestic population, which we all hope they do, because we the citizens of the world believe that globalism as a philosophy is superior to the archaic concept of national sovereignty.
Barak Obama was goaded into an overseas trip by McCain and the Republicans and now they are criticizing that he took the trip in the first place. That is because Obama showed everybody that he knows how to look and act Presidential. At the same time McCain looked like an old and confused man he is in the middle of the deli section of the supermarket.
Barak Obama was goaded by McCain and other Republicans into going to an overseas trip, and when Obama showed everybody what a U.S. President looks like they start to criticize that he did it. It's hard to find fault when you look so good as Obama but the Reps will make stuff up anyway. Now they criticize that he took the trip in the first place.
Well, now that Obama has spoken to world leaders this week, Bush has changed some of his policies. Obama has had an impact! I'm sure that they will not give Barack Obama any of the credit.
Sen. Obama is already making a difference in the world. Just think about what he will be able to do in the future. This is the hope that America and the world needs!
No matter what people say about Obama, things like "hes not a president yet, why does he act like one" and "he should be running for president in America" have no idea what their talking about, and need to get 'in touch' outside their country.
Tell me Why is it not important for him to deal with issues he speaks about to be elected on?? The UN / War on Iraq / Unity..Unlike Mccain who 'creates' ideals..At least Obama takes Action upon his words. And his words involve the world, not just America.
If the americans dont elect this man into officer then there is something seriously wrong in the world. McCain will end up as President Bush v2 and thats the last thing we need, The world needs a change and That will not happen with McCain in office. Victory to Obama!
Obama's world tour is very good. I don't understand why the republicans are trying to twist his goal. When McCain was traveling around the world noone discredited his effort. The point is republicans were anticipating a major flaw which didn't happen. Go Obama!!!!!!!!!
america loves you barack obama, but if you initiate an irani war whilst you whole office next year, the reprocussions will be GRAVE, enough people aLREADY hate us! BE THE CHANGE you keep talking about. use diplomcy, no bombs, no killing, no war!
ironic how brits love obama yet would never or at least HAVE never elected or appointed a black man into any powerful position in the UK before. typical british hypocrisy.
It's not a coincidence that the most intelligent, knowledgeable, successful people that I know (and I know a lot) ALL happen to be voting for Obama, while the semi-educated people of average intellect are against him. Those people fail to realize the brilliance behind his character. Smart people see how great of a position our country will be in once he's elected. Luckily, there are more smart people than dumb people in this country, so Obama will be elected. He will be the next great President.
i thought only Bush could not speek.. nd the crowd diddnt sound like they liked him very much lol.. remember its bad 2 b blind but worse 2 hav eyes nd not see
Its great that Mr. Obama is traveling the world on tour but i think he should focus more on the U.S. Presidential election! We need Obama for President and McCain is closing the 6 percent gap which is BAD! McCain is getting time to go to Key areas to win in the election. But GO OBAMA!!! BARACK OBAMA '08!!!:) LETS CHANGE AMERICA AND CHANGE THE WORLD!!!
We love Obama in Britain however, I think like the rest of us brits he is sick to the back teeth of the election! lol. I think he is just showing that he can be an ambassador for America abroad, give the guy a break lol
It's a great idea that he's traveling the world. He's opening the eyes of the American people more. Yes, we need Obama. I agree 200%. But the tour is a good idea because it shows that he cares about more than just what's in our little box of America and the mess in the Middle East.
Vote Obama, Vote for Change. Obama 2008. Missourians for Obama.
Anish, by touring the world Obama IS focusing on the US Presidency. McCain keeps saying that he has no foreign policy experience, so Americans are very interested in how Obama fairs internationally, get it? :-)
Because the job of the US President is to uphold the Constitution, and who else would be better for the job than a man that taught Constitutional Law. Also, He is intelligent, as evidenced by his election as the Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He speaks elequently, and improves our image abroad. He understands the world, and the conflicts of the world, unlike John McCain. And he has the ability to unify America, something that is long overdue.
I wouldn't say we love him, I personally think Gravel was pretty cool. The Brits don't tend to take much notice of American politics; as long as Bush fucks off. :-p
i can tell you why obama has a small lead against mccain is because of people like West Virgina voters. People like that shouldnt be allowed to vote. Obama for president
World leaders admire him, and seem inspired by him. I think this man would be a very, very good President, with a great positive impact all over the world. He's been right on every issue, now even McCain is starting to talk about a 16 month timetable in Iraq. Obama is brilliant.
Absolutely agree with your call. Obama/Biden - the perfect pair. The UK has a deep respect for Joe Biden, possibly the best president you'll never have. He'd make a fantastic VP tho!

Why do Americans always say "Great Britain" instead of the United Kingdom?
Are they specifically excluding Northern Ireland and referring just to England, Scotland & Wales?
Or are they referring to the geographic term for the island? Or do they really mean to say the United Kingdom - the name of our sovereign nation?

Oil output peaked in 2006 (according to the Hubbert Peak theory), how can the prices go down if our population/demand is increasing while output is decreasing?

Thank you Senator Barack Obama, Thank You America for producing such a great man. Most of all thank God for the vision and the aspirations of Hope.

ha ha: Brown didn't come out to do a photo op with him!

It was great to him in London. The crowds were truly excited and my voice is hoarse this morning from shouting out his name.
Please God he wins - we need a new America.

This is the hope that America and the world needs!
ncBillyBob 3 years ago
No matter what people say about Obama, things like "hes not a president yet, why does he act like one" and "he should be running for president in America" have no idea what their talking about, and need to get 'in touch' outside their country.
Tell me Why is it not important for him to deal with issues he speaks about to be elected on?? The UN / War on Iraq / Unity..Unlike Mccain who 'creates' ideals..At least Obama takes Action upon his words. And his words involve the world, not just America.

"McCain is closing the 6 percent gap"
ROFL you need to stop watching Fox. Obama is perfectly entitled to get his victory lap over before the election, the result is not in question.
nilbud 3 years ago
Anish, by touring the world Obama IS focusing on the US Presidency. McCain keeps saying that he has no foreign policy experience, so Americans are very interested in how Obama fairs internationally, get it? :-)

"We need Obama for President"
Why?
TisHerself 3 years ago
Because McCain is bush's 3 term
JoHolland92 3 years ago
Because the job of the US President is to uphold the Constitution, and who else would be better for the job than a man that taught Constitutional Law. Also, He is intelligent, as evidenced by his election as the Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He speaks elequently, and improves our image abroad. He understands the world, and the conflicts of the world, unlike John McCain. And he has the ability to unify America, something that is long overdue.

World leaders admire him, and seem inspired by him. I think this man would be a very, very good President, with a great positive impact all over the world. He's been right on every issue, now even McCain is starting to talk about a 16 month timetable in Iraq. Obama is brilliant.
