nice flight, what is the blue light flashing min. 1.45, and the yelow light near the tail servo. i just orded a hkh500 and cnc metal head rotor, will i have any problems? what servo´s are you using ?thanks
mksubaru, the flashing light is the battery indicator. That motor sucks the life out of the batteries. I'm installing another HK motor that turns 1600kv instead , I will be installing a cnc metal head this winter to fly next spring.
The red light at the tail servo is a Western Robotics 5V regulator. This ensures that only 5V goes to the tail servo. The Fut S9257 can only handle 5V...anymore and it fries.
thanks for the help, battery indicator, where can i get one? on ebay? what other cervo´s are you using ? can i use the Hextronik MG-14 metal gear, are they ok to put in my hk450 tail? thanks
The blue light is a 6S voltage alarm from Hobby King. It turns RED when the voltage is low. Google Western Robotics 5V Regulator for RC Heli's and the site will come up. It's Canadian made.
The Cyclic servos are Towerpro MG 930 and the tail servo is a Futaba S9257 with GY401 gyro.
It's a difference between apples and grapes :) they are both nice heli's but the Trex is better built quality wise. The both fly the same....solid. The Trex is more aerobatic.
The blades are not tracked, but I will not fly this heli....it's a disaster waiting to happen. The head would snap off as it is made of poor plastic. I'm buying the new HK-500 GT then use this heli as parts.
