The Palestinian Israeli conflict started long before the 1967 war and before Israel had the territories. It started because the Arabs didn't want an Israeli state on ANY part of the land. They went to war when they had east Jerusalem, the west bank, Gaza strip, the Sinai ALL to themselves.
NO I don't think the settlements are right, but there wouldn't be any settlements if the Arabs declaired that they recognize the prior 1967 Israel and made peace then. They should start taking responsibility!
