  • Rachel Maddow is an Oxford educated Rhodes Scholar (take note Christine O'Donnell) who has her pulse on what is right in American politics. Her nightly show contains the most well researched information I've ever seen or heard. The difference between the accuracy of her programme and the low brow, muck raking rubbish on the Fox Network is in a word QUALITY. Rachel cares about her audience enough to ensure that she delivers only the best in television journalism. Rachel is an American treasure.

  • Blaming the war for crumbling infrastructure is correct only in that the Federal government's portion of funding has been siphoned away. The States have the bulk of the responsibility for most public infrastructure and they have failed to adopt or even maintain appropriate tax policies (California's Prop 13 for example) to provide adequate funds. All infrastructure increases land values and land values only so land values, especially in cities, should be taxed heavily. Big landowners no likey.

  • An interesting upload - thanks.

  • States should take more responsability by saying if you are just using our roads to travel to another state then you need to fly instead! Do you see where i am going with this! Sound infrastructure promotes good business! Tractor trailers? What do they carry? Inventory! Republicans preach capitalism, but dont want to get the product to the shelves. Hmmm

  • States can't keep up with the road system. YOu should check out oklahoma as a prime example. The state is just too poor to keep its infrastructure up. That's why states accepted the MADD law and raised the drinking age to 21 to get federal highway funding.

  • @lordblazer What wonderful compromise... How about lowering the drinking age to 18 AND increase the driving age to 18?

  • @darwincity

that works too. My whole thing on this is if we're going to give people the legal accountability of an adult and then not treat them as adults then we just need to push those up and not have 18-20 yr olds as legal adults until the age of 21, but if we are ready to treat those that have the legal accountability of an adult like adults then yes everything should be at the age of 18. I think it is fair, but the opposition to this isn't going to want to hear this.
