you haxed life. now i must throw a computer at you screaming HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -throws computer at him-
ive personaly never learnt this at school but i reckon it is gravity like eveythone is saying th fork is the same weight around the hole thing even if the toothpick is just touching by the tip, the gravity is still evenly spread out
I was hoping you would do it with one toothpick, which you then set on fire, and it goes out as the flame meets the forks. You blow away the ashes, and the forks stay balanced.
i can explain this......... every one can do this experiment, first you need to get 2forks / 2 toothpick preprably wood/ and a cup or any tumbler like. then just do this thing and that will explain everythin aryt! my fren explain this to me b4 he's a quantum physicyst cuckoo thats why.
OK the weight from the end of the fork/spoon is balancing it the two tooth picks are actually just working together to find a balance point i would know this my dad is a scientist
Boy, this is what I really call a balancing act. Can you balance budgets? Just askin/

This is like the oldest trick in the world! Everyone can explain this.

the balance force of gravity that helps the counter weight of the two forks on the second tooth pick to balance on the first tooth pic

the centre of gravity is lower than the balance point

that one is also fun, but you may use this one to have fun at any party lol

The center of "gravity" was below the point of support. Thus the system was stable.

its easy....the waight of the end of the fork is the same as how heavy the angle make the top of the fork

Even 13 years old kid know this. We learned it in 7th class. it's centre of gravity, "těžiště" in Czech.

Wow... cool. I also know the 'why' but never thought of doing it this way! Cool.

Interesante. El equilibrio se mantiene gracias a que el peso de los tenedores se reparte uniformemente a los dos lados del punto de apoyo. ¿Es eso?
