The boat on the right lost control and went over the wake of the boat on the boat on the left.

@jizzmonger Actually, it's the other way around. The red boat's rudder came off and cause the boat to drift into the black boat's lane.

Man those crews work so hard on such a small budget for what they do. Very glad to hear the Drivers are OK, All the Drag Boat Fans are pulling for you guys to get up and running again.

some one has a video better than this one shows the black boat saved lives. shutes came out of red boat caught the black boat. red boat was going striaght right but was pulled to the left way left. hope he gets well and come back to san angelo

@leetbarker Dude, drag boat racing is a very tight knit community and they wanted to go check on their friend, many people have gotten killed driving things. You are the dumb ass for saying that!!

@linkinparkaz I would have to agree with you! I happen to be one of the guys in the Blue Fuel Monkey shirts. I consider both of the drivers my family even closer than family. I would like to thank the guys who filmed this who had the good sense to stay away and let us do what we do in the event of a crash. If everyone was like you we would not have all the problems we have when trying to the injured out. THANK YOU!!!

@rsqbuzz I know what you mean leetbarker clearly doesn't know drag boats as well as me or you. Whether you're a fan like me, or a TFH crewman like yourself, everyone knows the risk involved, and they stay close when risk turns to reality. I actually met Daryl at the Spring Nat's(which you guys sadly couldn't make it to) and he is like a lot of drivers, always willing to talk or help out in rough situations with any driver.

@rsqbuzz Well, this wasn't the first crash I've seen (unfortuneately), so I know the drill when something like this happens. It was a scary thing seeing that 20 foot boat flying through the air. Me and my friend left immediately after I stopped filming because of the chaos. I saw alot of people crying, and running towards the out-ramp...mostly the women from different race teams.
