  • Great video

  • Thank you, great loco in fine scenery.

  • nice loco, nice train, nice scenery, great video!

  • Very very nice, thanks a lot.

  • Good filming Austin. She looked like she was really working it up to Copy Pit.

Ashton's probably one of the last with the semaphores and signal box which adds a little authenticity to the film. 5*

  • Thank you, its nice to see there are still some pieces of 'old railway' about such as Ashton.

  • Yes it is.

I'm surprised that they're still there as they've got rid of the semaphores from Stalybridge, Mossley and Greenfield over the last few years as they've modified the signalling. Even the signal box has gone at Greenfield.

I suspect they won't be there for much longer.

  • WOW! First location is really interesting with the 'box and semaphores, the "wrong side" view at Copy Pit is inspired! A little lens flare is a small price for tremendous back-lit smoke. Sough summit is a disappointment (not your fault!) - better left on the cutting room floor? Camera work faultless throughout.

  • Thanks very much Mark, I would have been in trouble at Copy Pit had the sun been stronger but just about got away with it I think. Found my way to Sough thanks to the directions you kindly gave me a while ago. I left the shot in as a record of the day but agree it possibly should have been left out...Austin

  • Excellent! well done for finding a spot where the wind DIDN't ruin the audio!

  • Thanks, I am still amazed the wind didn't affect the shot at Copy Pit as it was straight into the microphone. You were a bit unlucky with the wind on your vid. but nice locations. Pity we can't order decent conditions!!

  • Another quality video as usual Austin, right up my street, love the backdrops especially, steam almost vertical, and the sound was music to my ears, but not the wifes

  • Thanks Vic, wind took a bit of sound away yesterday sadly. I'm lucky that my wife is a Crewe built fellow enthusiast!!

  • Excellent video Austin. Loved the location of the first one and the lighting and sound in the second. Unlucky with Sough; I've had them shut off there before. Other times they work passed the bridge; a real lottery spot!

  • Thanks David, I have to admit to pinching the Ashton Moss shot from an earlier PSOV video. They are a constant inspiration for locations.

  • Excellent video again Austin and thanks for braving the cold yesterday, it wasn't shorts weather for sure!

    Neil.

  • Thanks Neil, at least we had a little bit of sunshine.

  • Great work Austin.....as always.

  • Thanks very much, pleased you enjoyed it.

  • Thanks Steve, not too bad mileage wise for me, 144 miles round trip door to door for a CME.

  • Thanks for sharing Austin. Your usual high standard. Mike

  • Thanks Mike, I was pleased to get to what were, for me anyway, some new locations.

  • Another Gem Austin, it's nice to see that there are plenty of passengers on board, and 45407 is performing faultlessly as always...5*...Bob

  • Thanks Bob, yes, great engine, great crew and back up team. I wish YouTube would hurry up and sort the HD problems out though.

  • It's certainly going through some sort of change at the moment with annotation additions..who on earth uses those anyway?...Bob

  • Like all of your work, excellent. The visual quality, choice of locations and camera work are pro quality so I assume you are either a pro or have had pro experience. Whatever cam you are using, I've got to have one!

  • Thank you very much for your kind comments, camera is a Canon HV30. I'm not a pro, just an ordinary enthusiast.

  • Great videos, 5 stars!

  • Cheers, worth going out on a bitterly cold day if folks appreciate the vid.!!

  • Very good video - thanks for sharing 5*

  • Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it.

  • Thank you, my favourite shot too.

  • Usual high standard Austin...

  • Thanks Ralph, were you aboard today?

  • Pretty impressive eh! Its a real shame that they'l never be any mainline Black 5's running down south west.

  • Thanks, great engines, you should never say never where steam is concerned.

  • Great stuff Austin, cracking shot up Copy Pit. Thanks for posting............Matt.

  • Cheers Matt, yes, that shot was my favourite too. I can't believe I didn't pick up any wind noise as it was blowing straight into the mic.
