ANY 1 OUT THERE C HIM AT TOWER THEATER.......... BACK IN THE DAY ME N 2 BRO,S WERE UP ON STAGE WHILE HE WAS PLAYING......... FUCK YEA BEST EVER......... GOOD MUSIC N GOOD ACID,,,,,,,, COOL BEANS
if you listen to this whole album long enough, while floating in an isolation tank you'll forget where you're really at....dark energy?what consciousness really determinants the outcome of our universe?
thought is a very powerful thing and while we think about this things will change in the"everywhere" in which we exist inside.
you can be a petaflop of thought years a way in in a way different place without ever leaving where you're standing or understanding...in time or space.
@timbojones23- the reason it sounds very similar is because both songs are written in the same key: C Lydian. Joe's not one to steal, so it may just have been inspired. Although this is the closest I have ever heard one of Joe's song to another. Especially since this was released ten years before Flying In A Blue Dream was.
Glad to know that even 33 years later there are still people listening and buying first David Gilmour's first solo album. I bought it in 1978 when it was released (I was only 15 years-old ;-). I have listened to hundreds of rock albums during all those years and very often I think this is really my favorite record!
I was glad in reading your comments above because it gives us hope that at least some people around the world still love decent music (and not this crap that it's being played nowadays...)
@wpardijr I remember when my grandparents complained about the crap I listened to when I was playing stuff like this. Every generation is different I guess. BTW, I've had this vinyl for well over 30 years and had to buy the CD because I wore out the record.
Gilmour is a certified guitar god.
