  • I do also think they´ve overdone the moves that were to aggressive and expressive for the character of the blues - in comparison to the Duchesnays and Usova/Zhulin: they had more harmony as a couple.

  • The fact that they were 3d after this will forever go into the history of the sport as the most unfair judging ever. Duchesnays were nowhere near, Isabelle could hardly skate for Christ's sake.

  • i think they were third because sergei slid on the ice on his knees...there is something in the rules about that. i think its lovely though.

  • I'm not agree with you the Duchesnay had dance the best blues program ever.

The essence of the blues, this dark sweaty sensuality. An eternal gratitude to them and Christopher Dean.

  • If you think the Duchesnay's had the best blues, that's fine. But my blurb above talked about the difficulty of this dance and Marina & Sergei had a much more difficult blues than Isabelle & Paul. And personally for me, that made it more interesting to watch (the content of the choreography).

  • To be honest I think the reason they were undermarked in this dance is they already gave the judges a bad impression in the compulsory dances. Judges expect perfection from this team and it usually starts with dominating the compulsory dances. Here at worlds their compulsories were shaky, below their usual level, one had a big stumble, and they even lost the compulsories to Usova and Zhulin. This made them seem vurnerable to the judges for the rest of the event already.
