Well, this has actual elements of a Civil War, with two military forces, as opposed to Libya whose resistance is volunteer based, and where Qaddafi is essentially hated by everyone, from Tripoli to Ben Ghazi, is using mercenary armies and was using air strikes to mass kill civilians.
fyi, eceonmic interests under Qaddafi were excellent- it was his murderous rampage that lead the west to turn on him. He was giving Europe cheap oil.
