  • haha i got these im 14 im gonna get some sd9k with double bass all day

  • YOUR SUCH A WIENE

  • is the crash choke-able...i think thats what its called lol

  • so ur a starting drumer lol!

  • i have that, i'm trying to sell it its a good drum set but i want a real one

  • can i put a double bass pedal on the bass trigger? will it fit?

  • i played this at guitar center....im saving up for it now

  • What do you have your drums pluged into for sound? jw

    Thanks

  • the white shelf behind the drumset. they are speakers as well

  • The simmons SD5K! Cool! I got to tell you dude, you are a good drummer!

  • How did you change it to a double bass?

  • Comment removed

  • what preset do u use?

    We have the same! Sd5k!

    12 yrs old!

    How old are u?

  • i was twelve when i made this.

    13 now though.

  • @atomicpunk999 omg 13 wow!

  • On number 4 not 12! Can you do that and practis?! Pleeas?!

  • i dont understand the question...

  • Can you make another video with your drums? I want to hear music on number

  • possibly. it wont be for a while. so what is it you want me to do in this video?

  • @atomicpunk999

I don't Know what he wants you to do with this video dude! He just doesn't Know what he's talking about.

  • Do u get a midi cable with it

  • i dont think so...

  • u should make a porno

  • will you please make a vid of all the different sounds. by the way its my b-day.

im trying to convince my mom to buy me one, but im paying for almost half.

  • well i'd love to but i actually got a new module, so there are all new sounds. i could make you a video showing all of the kits on the Simmons TD-3 sound module. is that acceptable?

  • Hi,

I want buy a Simmons sd5k..can you tell me if the pads use mesh heads?

    Thank You

  • This drum set does not come with mesh heads. I bought a Roland mesh head, but it does NOT work with a Simmons module. i had to upgrade to a buying a Roland TD-3 sound module. So if you want a mesh head, i have to warn you that Roland heads are NOT compatible with this Simmons module.

  • so if the hi hat pedal is wireless, it needs a battery doesnt it?

  • the hi hat pedal is not wireless, what i was trying to say was that it was not connected directly to the hi hat.

  • Okay. Cool, i gotcha. Thanks man!

  • Ok Thank you..so I can't use any type of mesh head, right?

  • not that i am aware of. i am glad i could help.

  • yeah it does work if u replace the rubber of a simmons pad with a mesh head

  • yeah i had the same problem i liked using double bass so i changed the high hat pedal sound to the bass but it just felt weird so i bought a double bass and a new drum kit roland td 20s IT'S SO SEXY!!!!!!!!!

  • if u make the hihat pedal sound like bass pedal then the hihat symbal will sound like open symbal?

  • it will still sound exactly the same, except that when you close the hi-hat it will make the sound of a bass. so you can still use a hi-hat with your "double bass"

  • oh yeah that would be shitty. [the hihat closing thing] but I think I could get used to it. :) oh and does this kit really brake so easily? is this better than millenium mps100 and mps 300? well yeah u probobly haven't played those ;D

  • the only thing that has broken on mine is one of the clamps holding on the snare, but its an easy fix. i cannot tell you about the mps100 or 300 but i can tell this is a kit good just for starters, like if you're going to trick it out with new parts. but if you're looking for a great kit that you'll use for a few years, you'll need to look in to something more expensive.

  • dont cry D: O:29

  • How did that Roland mesh snare work out? Any new videos to post?

  • thanks for reminding me. im gonna edit a bounce/noise test for the mesh head. i'll send it to you once it's up.

  • your heads are at crazy awkward angles..

  • just the tom on the far right and a snare

    >.> everything else seems fine xP

  • would you recommend this to someone who's never had a drum set before? And witch would you pick, acoustic or electronic drum sets

  • yes its a good cheap kit with just the basics to learn drumming. i would rather have an acoustic because they have a better feel, but i dont have space for one and they're REALLY loud.

  • does it have bass drum pedal??

  • depends on where you get. it should say on the web page

  • is the only way to drumsets or simmons drum sets only online? IS THERE LIKE a store or something

  • just go to your local drums/musical equipment store. they might have it they might not. my store only carries expensive rolands but im not sure.

  • but if you get a super nice electronic like a roland td20 then its got super nice feel and you can change your kits really easisilly

  • Can you put headphones in to it and listen off of them?

  • yes definetly. and it comes with an adaptor so that you can use any headphones even like ipod ones

  • did you have to get a seperate amp with that? if you did, how much?

  • is that doublekick pedal compadable?

  • i dont quite see what you're saying

  • if i wanted to, can i use a double kick pedal, or is the trigger to small

  • you can

  • double bass pedal, is it compadable?

I am looking to buy one too, the same one or the SD7K, how much did you pay?

  • i payed 400 + shipping for the sd5k

  • Cool, I might get it. Do I need to buy anything else for it? Or everything comes with?

  • all you'll need is a seat/stool

  • How do you make the hi-hat pedal a bass pedal? Thanks!

  • so when you turn the set on, just start tapping the hi-hat pedal. the press the middle of three buttons that says "voice" over it. the screen will read (for and sd5k) "17.1" use the top # pad on the left to make "17.1" go all the way down to "0.7" you will then need to press that same "voice" button again. it should say "L 15: use the left # pad again to make this read "L 23". that just makes the volume the same as the real bass kick

    Happy to Help!

  • question.. can you hook up pads from other companies?? like put a roland electric pad for the snare instead of the one they give you?? same with the cymbals as well... and could you do a whole diffrent module if you wanted to from a diffrent company???

  • i dont kno. im trying to find out too. if you have any luck please let me know

  • Yeah You Can You Can Even Change The module If You Dont Like The Sounds

  • so your positive?? if i buy a simmons i can swap there snare out for a rolands one and get the sensitivity out of a roland

  • yup, Later In The Future Im Gonna Change All Pads Out For Dual Zone So Instead Of Just The Rim Of The Snare I Can Have Cowbells On The Toms

  • i just got a roland mesh pad a while ago and it isnt compatable with the simmons brain. i had to get a roland module.

  • can you hear this kit without headphones or amp?

how many extra pads can you plug in it?

  • No u need head phones/speakers. u can plug in 3 more pads

  • r u sure? some people say you cant pulg any more pads

  • im not sure. but there are 3 extra plugins

  • o! its alex! i thot u wer sum kreeper on utube!

  • haha u didnt kno this was me?!?!

  • i thot u wer an internet rapist

  • how do u kno im not???

  • i need some answers please...

    do you use amp?

    What pedal do u use?

    Does it have good respones?

    Does it have good sensitivity?

Will i not regret for buying this instead of the sd7k?

  • please answer me

  • You'll regret it if you buy the 7K also. They both suck. Get a roland are the 9K. I owned the 7K and just to name a few (ok all the) problems I had:

    2 broken clamps

    5 broken cymbals

    1 broken kick trigger

    1 ripped snare rubber

may I also mention these happened within a peirod of 3 monthes

  • but what can i do? the roland and 9k are so expensive and i have a short budget

  • my snares going to shit so im getting a roland mesh head. coming 2morrow!!!

  • wow it's not even registering notes half the time when you were hitting the snare drum.....ouch....this review saved my money and time

  • ya its not very good for complicated stuff. i just use it for practice for my band. just good for learning the beat and stuff

  • Hey thanks for the mini review of the sd5k. This is helpful for people who are shopping for a e-drum set.

  • dude alex does anyone care??????

  • lawl fail

  • do you use an amp with them

  • haha alex
