Cool little knife. You probably already know this but vg10 will rust pretty quick. It's super hard though. s30v is good for edge retention too. I know this from my last job where we had to create a balance between corrosion and wear. It had nothing to do with blades, we were experimenting on letting air escape between steel and aluminum as it was heated and cooled. We wore working with super tight tolerances.

It was at renosol. I was a tool tech. We had to figure out the best way to allow gasses to escape from isocyanates in a sealed mold. Touline Di- Isocyanate was mixed with polyurathane and pressurized to expand 100x in 5 minutes. We wanted the gasses to escape from the top while holding enough pressure to keep the wet foam back. The foam had to touch the vents but not escape. When I left we were bouncing between 300 and 600 series. 316 worked best for corrosion but it sucked for wear.
ha. i have to send mine back to spyderco cause the lock failed on me over normal use. and it wont even lock back into position anymore. good luck with yours.
