One thing that may have added to the comedy would be to include a clip after Homura's rape threat and Madoka's "Homura-dawg," cutting back to Madoka waking up at the beginning of the episode saying something along the lines of "How did I get back here?", so as to imply that Homura did indeed rape and reset.

Of course, now it's not funny since I explained the joke, but I thought it would be a nice touch.
