Going for a phone interview in a few hours. Thanks again for the vids. They give me more confidence knowing at least what to expect and how to relate my skills to what the employer is looking for.
would this be a good answer? 'i use to be a dishwasher and on a weekend night if i dont work hard and fast then theres no plates to put the food on so i am very good at working hard and at a fast pace for a long period of time, i am confident and resposible and i would be a great contribution to your company'
I have a question sir, I recently passed the national board exam and a fresh graduate, however, my degree is also relevant to the qualification needed for the job. unfortunately, i do not have enough work experience aside from on-the-job-training suited in the same capacity of industry. how am i going to respond to the question without being undervalued with my knowledge and technical skills? Thank you.
i dont know if this question has been answered but if you are just a college graduate and dont any career experience what do you use for examples in this question and the tell me about your self question
@twinkypop0215 it's always gratifying to hear from people who have found this series useful and gotten the jobs they really wanted. Best of luck to you.
I have another question, what is the Hiring Manager looking for? I am appyling as a Server in Fine Dining/ Dinner Service Restaurants. I suspect that they would want someone that's very friendly, has a positive attitude, can handle stress, gets along with his co-workers and managers, and does his job well. Am I on the right track? If you have anything to add to this list, would you please let me know?
@robocock100 your questions inspired me to record a new video and write a new blog post addressing your specifics. You can check them out at The Job Shopper blog or here on our NESCOResource channel.
Hope this helps, and good luck with your interviews.
This is my favourite video in your series. I still have a real difficulty articulating myself and giving my full answers when I'm in the interview. Would you have any recommendations or advice on how to give such great rehearsed answers? I know a lot about the company and I started writing down my strengths with examples like you suggested. I just feel like I need a concrete, memorized script to follow. Am I on the right track? What are your thoughts?
John Heaney this is the best demonstration or information I have ever seen. For one who has interview anxiety in the worse way, you have somehow calmed my fears. Bless you for your works.
What if the interviewer's IQ is lower than yours and you give an answer that just goes completely over their head???
