This is my favorite shelf layout. I have to make one too. I think if I had one in my room, it would be therapy to help me fall asleep during an insomnia attack. I might even dream about riding in a train car while hearing the consist making a clacking noise on the track.
Super idea with the train around the entire house. I have a similar idea and my girlfriend has no problem with it. Would You have some tips for me? Thanks. JIRKA
@jirik242 I had the walls set up like going through tunnels. What I did was purchase the tunnel ports for my HO and mold them into the wall. I decorated around the ports using tree schrubs, so it gave the apearance of going into a mountain. Good luck with it!!!!
ive always wanted to do something like this.. i was wondering how you got the plywood to stay to the wall. i know a few ways but im wondering the cheapest and best looking.
Hi Al, really nice 'round the room' layout. Could you tell me where you got the scenic backdrop behind the track? I'm looking for some G Scal backdrop for a similar room layout. Many thanks
Those photos are one of the reasons that I built the layout. I took those pictures during my many trips to the Nevada desert. I merged them with Photoshop and then printed them out with a regular ink jet printer. I used wall paper paste which was not good. The water changed the ink. Next time I will use different glue.
Hi like the layout did you make the music for the video?

That's AWESOME!!! That's pretty much how I want to do my 9'x11' spare bedroom/man cave. I love the wall murals with the background.
Did you ever thing about putting a building or something in the corners? I LOVE the bridge over the door! Thanks for the inspiration!

NICE setup, I had one going around the entire house, through the walls and over bridges. Then I got married and all that changed

Very cool layout. I like the photo mural you did as a backdrop. I may have to "borrow" that idea for my son's room.
