Hey it's Jenna. Thanks for the comments :) but don't worry, I can still sing! I understand everyone's comments about how opera can ruin a young girl's voice, but as you can tell I was pretty nasily here. I think the fact that I didn't try to make my self sound older kept me from losing my voice.

This is incredibly sung for an 8 year old with no training. What natural pitch she has. She deserves a great voice teacher. Is she getting any training? This voice of hers can really take her far!!! Best of luck to her. Sorry the other comments about hurting her voice were offensive. It is true that when children sing these songs so young that their vocal chords can be damaged even if they're able to sing the aria. Their vocal chords are very fragile at that age. So glad her voice is okay.

Right now Jenna is 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. She will go to college, but I don't think she wants to major in music. She'll definitely continue singing, though!

She should wait until she's older to sing this song, number one, because it's about telling a weird guy to buzz off, and number two, I'm not much for kids singing opera so young, it could damage her voice, like charlotte church. But still, Jenna Marie very cute.

I actually think she did marvellously considering her age. Although as a rule I do not think children should be singing opera, and not singing with orchestras; it just encourages them to 'push' their voices, although I don't think this young singer is. She was very lucky to have a sensitive conductor, and the audience is brilliant at the end!

Just because she can sing it, doesn't mean she should.

Please, give children the chance to be children. She will have plenty of time to be an adult. And i believe the purpose is that she can still sing when she is 30 or older. If she goes on next years with this kind of repertory, i seriously doubt she'll be able to do that.

Actually, at this point in time my sister did not have a voice teacher. She learned this on her own because she wanted to sing it, and she still has a beautiful soprano voice today at age 14. She was not forced in any way to perform this song (or perform at all). She had a wonderful childhood. In fact, she used to act out full operas with her barbies!

Well done. Keep practicing and developing that talent. Opera has many more dimensions than just hitting the notes, but for the tender age of eight, you're pretty far along the road that leads to glory.
