Early that season Dessie stuffed Charcoal Wally by over 12l at Ascot. It just shows how inconvenienced he was going left handed...must be 20lb inferior to his right handed form.

@foriamonlyahorse11 Yes he did and also beat him round Exeter on his debut over fencesthat season which had followed close on the heals of him falling 2 out in the Captain Quist hurdle at Kempton when a clear leader. Also earlier that year he had made a very belated flat debut aged 7 when unplaced in the group 3 Sagaro Stakes at Sandownin 1985 behind the smart Longboat. If anyone out there has that race id love to hear from you.
