This app did not work for me. If I had know the Galaxy S Vibrant GPS did not function properly out of the box, I would not have purchased one. My old G1 still works...
@WebCobra00 :( that's very odd that it would not work. I'm sorry, I guess it works for most people but not everyone. How much are you planning on selling it for?
@M0L well it's supposed to, but there was a design flaw in the phone that causes the receiver to have a very weak and unreliable signal. This application was created in order to make the gps positioning a bit more accurate. However ultimately this does not suffice as a complete replacement for a personal GPS device.
Thanks, it worked for me, but only after rebooting and checking USB debugging on under Settings/Applications/Development. Not sure if the latter had anything to do with it but try it if all else fails. BTW, I have Vibrant SGH-T959 on Froyo 2.2

Tried the app. Didn't work. Says position failed all the time. Even outside. I'm going to sell the Vibrant. :(

gpsrestore just deletes the stored gps data i believe? i mean it's useful. but the hardware fix generally helps more. thanks for the vid tho!

You cann't actually use GPSrestore on the Samsung Galaxy S! GPSrestore was designed only to run on the Vibrant.
