My late father had an interesting idea. He thought if existing gas stations were converted to battery stations, people could rent charged batteries from a station, turn in their depleted battery, like getting fuel, and be on their way quickly. Existing gas stations could stay in business as battery charging stations.

I am an automobile enthusiast and car journalist. I drove Peugeot Ion,,which is sibling with Citroen Zero and Mitsubishu iMiev. I swear after you try electric car (even that small as Ion is) you won't ever want to go petrol again. Electric cars are the future!
